How are things with the new firmware? Maybe they have already fixed all the problems?

Thinking we are stuck with the Neo's limits.

Next Great Neo?
Maybe the next DJI FPV model.  My hope. Sub250gm, Neo footprint, robust design like the Neo, 3-4S powered motors, solid 10-12 minutes flying hard manual mode.  Chuck the autonomous hardware into the bin.  Save maybe a few grams that can be added to the battery capacity. Neo and FLIP fill that niche.  04 system compatible with Goggles3, N3, FPV RC3, and MC3 hardware.  Would be nice to have totally removable "ducts" (aka prop guards) as an option.  Fly with or without.  Easy to replace if damaged.  No antenna like the Avata2 snaked into the guards.  An immersive FPV UAS v. a model biased towards image capture.  We already have a large number of those types of platforms to choose from.

No. A new DJI FPV model.

Would not even consider the original Avata.  Avata2 is fine as is.  Enjoy flying it.  But  it looks to be a real pita for users to do basic repairs.  Such as motor replacement.  Not sub 250gm.   Some of my Neo crashes flying manual mode would have probably damaged the Avata2.  In manual mode it flies high above any obstructions and gently.
