Not sure if anyone knew this already but I happen to notice a LDI (Liquid damage Indicator) tucked inside the battery. Its a small white dot of litmus paper that turns red if it gets wet. Same as phones have.

Arrr, I did notice that, but didn't think much about what it is.

Fair call I say, I imagine that given the accessibility of the DJI gear there have been lots of n00bs claiming warranty issues after they fail to read the manual and 'land' in an interesting fashion.

Ya its smart, it will turn fully red when it gets wet. I work on cell phones so I noticed it and it caught my eye. Although it doesn't really matter because if you see corrosion then that's the ultimate proof. Also you can also buy and/or get litmus paper that hasn't been tripped. But keep in mind thats a moot point if it has other signs.

Of course this LDI will affect the warranty coverage if it turns red.

How much water is required to turn it red??? Could a poor pilot with sweaty fingers after a disastro ...

A generous amount of liquid must come into contact with the ldi
