I have read this forum for a few days now, after experiencing the problems as described here.
Now i see that there are much more who have the same problem, i decided to subscribe to this forum.
A week ago, i updated from 1.4 firmware to 1.6 firmware. With firmware 1.4, my P3P did fly perfectly smooth. What i first experienced after updating, was that the vertical velocity was low, about 2 m/s. That should be about 5 m/s. I saw a vibration in idle rpm, but guessed that it came from minor windgust. I thought that performing all calibrations would help this out, and somehow after that i had more vertical velocity.
After 2 days i tried again, and experienced again a bad vertical velocity and vibration in idle rpm. When is started to hoover at eye level, i noticed the vibration in the arms of the P3P, the camera wobbles badly, but my video showed just very little vibrations. After downloading my video to my computer i clearly saw that the video is affected too.
I tried to downgrade and upgrade a few times, without result. Also i played with the gain settings, and that doesn't solve the problem. Yes, my video seems to be okay with 80/80/80/100, but you can still see a minor vibration in the arms of the P3P. Vibrations in an every aircraft, if it is a drone or a b737, cause damage to the aircraft itself. So adjusting the gains is not a solution, but a temporarely way to eleminate the effects of the fault.
In my opinion, the only fault can be the firmware. The motors perform well with firmware 1.4. so why should they be replaced? I don't understand why anybody should let there motors replaced if all advice on this topic doesn't help? Just fix the firmware bug! Or is there a problem with the old motors that we don't know yet? Is the firmware update a way to let us buy new motors?
For now, i will wait until DJI releases a new firmware to solve this problem.
Saying that just 1% of us all experiences this fault is too easy. I myself waited a few days to give a reaction on this forum, just because i don't do forums that much. Maybe more people read this and wait?
Think of how many owners haven't updated their P3 till now, or even how many P3 owners haven't flown, because of wintertime, bad weather etc. I guess that there are also P3 owners who didn't notice the vibrations yet, and are sorting out now why the video is distorted.
Until now, my P3P is grounded. |
