Does your customizable buttons work?

For me, using 4.3.4 app yet ( iOS )...... Yes ! All customizes works. Remember to uptade the Remote Controller

I updated everything and ios app also, was the newest now 4.3.5 and buttons not working...

Try to reset the controller........
Try to modify the buttons......
try to power on the controller first and wait a few seconds before power on the drone

Don't forget to update firmware on ALL of your batteries with this update!

Just updated everything , this update is an update for the batteries also , had to update my 3 batteries . Will not have a chance to test until the weekend . I don't really use precision landing , but was looking forward to it .

Started ios app, started controller and last drone. App said finally that theres some inconsistency in firmware, did some update and now i have custom buttons working again. Dunno what inconsistency, and didnt find anything else different but the buttons worked

It was your batteries , if you have more than one you have to put them on and update them one by one using either the DJI GO app 4 or the DJI assistant for mavic version 2.0.4

Precision Landing works when you do a RTH

I did all the updates with GO4 (iPad Mini 4), everything went smooth. Took it out back and flew two batteries, all looks well. The C1, C2 buttons work, didn't think to try the 5D button.

Short flight no check box for PF but drone landed within inches of take off after initiating RTH, could not test anything else grounded by rain

Looks to be automatic now!

Ah ok , well that's awesome, like I said I haven had a chance to test this firmware yet, looking forward to it now. Thanks for that screenshot !

The C1 & C2 buttons for me now will program way points in Hyperlapse mode, I don't remember which one will add them but the other will remove the way points. It makes adding them much easier instead of having to tap the plus on the screen you can just click I think its C1 to add & C2 to remove.

Tripod mode has some features added to it where you can adjust max Horizontal Speed , Max Vertical Speed and the Yaw Smoothness

Updated through iPad Pro no problem. Updated all batteries (inconsistent FW found message).

Update resets your DJI GO settings, so check them all.

Precision Landing works incredibly well. It’s super windy here today, so that’s the only thing I tested. I did the slide to takeoff.  Flew 1/2 mile out & hit RTH. There’s no prompts for precision landing until it is hovering near your T/O position. R/C says “Landing” and the green prompt for Precision Landing pops up. Turns out it landed within 2 inches on a wood deck with no clear markings. So, very impressive considering the high winds with gusts, 160 foot tall trees everywhere and within a foot of the Mavic the whole decent down! Also the wood deck all looks the exact same.

I’ll test all the other stuff as soon as weather permits.

Does it not need to be outside where it can receive GPS/GLONASS satellite signals for precision landing to function ?

It would need to know where it has taken off from before it can return. Similar to the aircraft losing GPS/GLONASS in flight, it cannot RTH if it doesn't know where it is.

Did 8 flights today and the precision landing worked absolutely perfect every time.  VERY impressive!

They fixed the gps altitude bug in image exif data also. Images now have the correct MSL and relative altitude showing in other applications. I did a RTH today and it popped up on the app it was in Precision Landing mode.

Updated RC, Aircraft and four batteries via assistant with zero errors. CHECK all your setting after update, ESPECIALLY "Return to home at current altitude" this was switched on by the update, Glad I spotted it before I go flying. Not flown yet as it's dark.

Looks like a very interesting new update. Can't wait to get it up in the air tomorrow!

Updated, the last version of DJI go 4 app crashed every time when trying to update, used computer software. Now all updated, also app...
I lost functionality with c1, c2 and 5d customizable buttons, they just beep now
No presicion landing box, the RTH current altitude is strange, its description sounds like presicion landing??

Yep, precision landing worked great for me.  Also glad to see they fixed the shutter speed problem for at least a couple of the hyperlapse modes and added the Task Library for HyperLapse Waypoints.  This is going to enable some pretty cool creative things to be done with Hyperlapses now!

Your right Autel has waypoints and it’s about akin to Frankenstein on the dance floor with Madonna.
Why didn’t you buy Autel, you seem to be in love with it and all that money you could have saved, ok your Horizon would have been out a little , but you could land it on a sixpence.

All what we doing is complaining about  DJI poor or slow  action and  naturally we correlate the performance the DJI with the  rivals drones that  might  help to accelerate DJI action about releasing of the  Waypoint.

Just completed the update using a wired connection to laptop via dji assistant 2.04 everything updated flawlessly, haven't tested yet but im sure everything will be fine, seen a lot of good reports regarding this one, i think DJI might have got this one right,well done guys ;)

Turn drone and R/C off presumably after updating. Then on your device, kill the DJI GO 4 app. Don’t just hit Home button or exit, but kill the app. Now fire everything back up with the other battery & it’ll ask to update.

The trick is to kill the app, not just close it.

Hi There... C1 and C2 and the 5D button do work here. I love to use them... Perfect!

Precision Landing worked really well, the first landing (forgot I was in my night setting) was with 26 MPH gusting winds you can see it move the drone around just before landing but it still managed to land within 4 inches of launch. The second was in much calmer winds 5 MPH this one was off by maybe an inch, pretty impressive

Just turn on aircraft and RC with fresh battery it will prompt you new FW needed and same for all other batteries, the battery you used for aircraft will update with that FW.

A couple things:

1. For Americans, this update was on thanksgiving day. A Holiday where most people are traveling to visit family. Was it intentional that DJI release this to inconvenience Americans like this? Slightly offensive, when the places we travel to won't always have a solid internet connection or cellular data coverage. Why is this a problem?

2. Yes, you're right, I could just bypass the update and fly. The real issue is that key features within the app like time-lapse, and active track DISABLED until completing the updates. Don't even try to tell me that I could have done something  to prevent this. You will be considered a troll.

  Why are you doing this to us? Is there something I should know? Absolutely frustrating that, notoriously, updates are released without warning at the worst of times. I hope I can receive an honest and professional answer.

Extremely disappointing that Waypoints 2.0 still isn't available after all this time. It's almost false advertising.
I can't believe I have to buy an additional app (Litchi) in order to use this promised feature...
