Hi, I have same problem, after update OM3 is impossible make motionlapse, reinstal app and not fix bug. I have Galaxy s10+. I bought this OM3 for motionlapse and now I cant use it. Pls fix it.
Is there some way how instal previous firmware?

Have the same issue with my samsung s10 on android 11. Really anoying to find out 3 of my motion timelapses, produced with a lot of effort, were for nothing and even worse to read here that the issue was already reported months ago and was not fixed or at least communicated to owners by DJI, shame on you for such poor customer service
Update; I tried my third party video editor app VLLO and that can process the 4k motion timelapse produced the mimo app, so at least you don't loose your footage. The file size of the original file is still absurd though, when processed with VLLO much beter, so then you can delete the original one.
DJI FIX THIS ISSUE!!!! To everyone else, please comment on this issue in the google play store to put pressure on DJI to fix it and prevent others from being disappointed.

I'm having the same issue on Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (Android 11), BUT I found an easy solution :
Muchas gracias! He hecho lo que comentas y funciona a la perfección. De hecho simplemente con recortar un poco el marco del video y volverlo a dejar como el original ya puedes guardarlo y una vez hecho ya se ve correctamente sin editar nada. Gracias por el aporte.

Really disappointing.

Can DJI consider allowing to save the "raw" photos next to produced video? Who knows where this should be posted to get to dji support team?

I'm also having this issue and its been going on for far to long. What are some alternatives that we can use going forward? DJI's lack of any response or update has me wanting to move onto a product that does care about its consumers. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Hi All
So it seems DJI finally got with it.

I downloaded the latest (1.5.22) version from their download center (https://www.dji.com/downloads/djiapp/dji-mimo).

I have Galaxy S20 Ultra and a 5min motionlapse got successfully captured down to 20 seconds. Nothing funny slow motion or anything. Google photos plays it perfectly
I notice there is a version 1.6.0 out but have not tried this one yet

I think with OM5 coming out, they cannot afford the app not working for it

**UPDATE*** 1.6.0 is also good

That's too bad.

It would be great to get some more people's feedback to see if i'm the only lucky one.

I assume you did a clean install / cleared app data before testing... you never know what skeletons get left behind from old app versions.

Looking at the forums it looks like it is a widespread issue with Google Pixel phones and several other Android phones. It does work with an old Oneplus 3T (!!).

Yes, clean install with several versions of the App (1.5.x, 1.6.0, 1.3.4, 1.6.0-beta) all same issue.

I have the same issue on a Pixel 5. Is there any known fix for this? I also find it very odd that the app is not in the Google Play Store. Requiring users to sideload your app seems like a very amateur company move, and certainly not something you would expect from a well-known company.

How are you posting reviews on the Google Play store? The app was not in the play store when I searched it, and I had to side load it from the DJI app.

It really seems like this is not the company to get a gimbal from if you are an Android user. They seem dedicated to iOS.

I guess the solution was to REMOVE the MIMO app from Google Play as the reviews were terrible. Cancelling their own product to prevent bad reviews being made public! cheeky!

I checked the list of compatible devices, but I don't have any of the devices on the list.
And I know it was working fine on this device several months ago, but then it stopped working.

I have the exact same problem and my phone is a xperia 1 mark2 it was working couple of months ago and now it doesn't work

This problem currently exists on Samsung s23 ultra. motion timelapse and 4k timelapse are not saved correctly and cannot be played back. When recording motion time lapse and 4k time lapse, “creating time lapse” does not appear
This is very unpleasant because Samsung s23 ultra is on the list of supported devices.

This brand does great hardware, but it underestimates enormously the importance of a proper app. That’s the reason why insta360 is taking over the market.
Shame on you DJI, you’re making things unnecessarily complicated for us! We didn’t pay for a workaround we paid for a decent ecosystem!
