If I sync the photos app, the date/time of all pictures and videos are set to the current time. I sync to the fly app and then to the photos app and date/time are as per then time taken.

I furthermore found out, that sometimes the location data is missing in EXIF.

Glad I am not the only one that has had this issue. I got my Mavic Mini 3 Pro last week and i was transferring via the controller and it kept prompting me to switch to QuickTransfer but then failing to connect to the WiFi of the drone to do so.

I tried the Cell fix etc but to no avail, randomly a few days later it started working and has done since. I am 100% confident that it is not related, but the only thing that I changed between it not working and working was changing the drones name, and not even the one for the WiFi SSID :/

Ok, did a quick test ... when syncing to the Photos app, all Exif data gets lost and the time stamp is the time of syncing :-(
When syncing into the fly app, the Exif stays intact.

PS: I connected the phone directly to the drone, with the controller being switched off.

Yes turning off the cellular does the trick. I’ve just received it today and it has current firmware as of  19th August.

I hear you. It's the only company I know that has a "if we don't acknowledge a problem it will go away" mentality. So much easier to say "We are aware of this issue and working on it". Places more trust in the company but not a DJI policy to do that. Maybe a culture thing? I dunno but frustrating...

Hello people,

is there any fix or solution for this date and time changing?
It‘s really frustrating to have all the synced photos and videos in the photo library in the reverse order.

I'm having the issue when downloading files to my phone through DJI Fly app, all EXIF data is gone.  

I never saw an option to download to the app and then to the phone, even though that's annoying and I'd rather not.

I have the issues that after the download the DJI Fly App tells me the files are on my iPhone but I can’t find them anywhere. What can I do?

Videos does not contain any EXIF data. I found a workaround for the GPS location…which is not perfect, but working for me.
I take  a Picture after the Home has been updated, This Pictures contains correct location data, then after transferring all videos to your phone (iphone for me) just copy the location data form the picture and paste it to all the corresponding videos.

Which app version do you use? Latest versions store the files directly in the Photos App, where older versions store the files into the fly app dedicated folder.

Had the same issue. Tried your work around of turning off cellular on iPhone 13 and it worked.

Got it, thanks!  I mainly want the photo EXIF data.

Turns out the EXIF data is in the downloaded JPEG.  The timestamp is incorrect when downloaded but is in the "I" icon.   The timestamp is when you download it, not the real info.

I’ve done exactly those steps that you have posted about the mini 3 pro and still I cannot download any photos or videos from my drone.

I can connect, view them/watch them in low res but the moment i hit down load it just sits there, doesn’t download anything and then eventually just says a message about not being able to download. Help

Same problem with my new Air 3.  I thought it was something a newbie like me was doing wrong, but it turns out I'm not the only one with this issue.  I turned off the cellular, and the transfer was smooth.  

TURN OFF YOUR CELLPHONE DATA AND JUST USE WI-FI ONLY….it fixed my same issue

I've had to turn off cellular since day 1 for it to work on my Mini 3 Pro.

+1 worked for me as well.

I’m using iPhone 15 with Mini 3, I can not get the quick transfer to work. All the steps show I’m connected, the lights on the M3 begin to flicker as I select download bu nothing is happening.  I’ve turned off the cellular with no change.  I’ve delegated cache files, restarted both the M3 and the phone.  Still no change, transfer hangs up at 4%.  Is this thread monitored by DJI, or should I start a repair request?  So many have had success with the cellular toggle, I feel like I’m doing something wrong.  I know this is an older thread but I’m hoping someone will have another suggestion.  Thank you in advance!

I'm having the exact same issue. I'm on IOS 17.7 and can't download any media to my phone. Hope they can suggest a fix before I leave for vacation next week.

We apologize for the delayed response. Please confirm if the app version and aircraft firmware are the latest then follow the steps below:

1. Power on the drone, and wait until the drone self-check is completed. Quickly press the power button three times to switch the drone from flight mode to QuickTransfer mode. The aircraft status indicators will blink blue once switching is successful.

2. Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the smartphone. Open the DJI Fly app and select the drone for connecting when it prompts the available device list. (When connecting the smartphone and the drone for the first time, press and hold the power button for two seconds to confirm the connection.)

3. Tap “Connect”. If connected successfully, you can view the drone album and download videos or photos at high speed.

Still have this issue over two years later and the workaround of turning off the iphone’s cellular data seems to work. Hopefully dji will address this issue

On my Air 3S the Quick Transfer worked great to my iPhone 15. Then I changed carrier (in Australia I moved from Vodafone to Telstra) and it stopped working. I turned cellular data off and it worked. Must be dependent on the carrier. BTW, I turned cellular data off and it worked, then I turned it on and it kept working, hmmm very odd!

Downloading has always been very consistent. No issues ever! Now, all of sudden, “download failed” consistently.   

This worked for me like a charm: put iPhone in flight mode, turn on Wi-Fi and connect to drone → QuickTransfer works! What a relief.

Just bought air3s and tried to transfer the pictures taken with 3s to my iphone13. Hit the same problem and the trick of dropping the cell data helps. Cannot believe DJI still does not fix the problem reported almost 3 years ago!!!
