But, just as the road crosses a lake, you get to this point, just north of the view:

Sadly I failed to find that road,  mostly ran out of time in Balerno as the funeral activities lasted the entire day. Also didn’t see any castles there.

Coming home there was a 10c difference in temperature would you believe,  and leaving on the Edinburgh scenic route we couldnt see anything due to the rain and cloud coverage.

I had two planned for this morning,  but I bumped into someone who could chat for England and I had a deadline to be back to go to the hospital.   At least the second appointment there this afternoon has now been canceled as the consultant is off sick.

Not needing to drive is a bonus, as you can gaze at the scenery for a change.  But the tight schedules at some places were annoying. We would have liked to spend longer at one or two.
On balance though, it was a pleasant experience.

Yeah, I get it. We never went on this kind of trip, but it seems to have its pros as well.
How was the average age of the group?
