It's rare here that we get fog bad enough to even use the fog lights,  but that doesn't stop people turning them on for just a hint of fog.

It's rare here that we get fog bad enough to even use the fog lights,  but that doesn't stop people turning them on for just a hint of fog.

I bet I can count on one hand the number of times I've used the fog lights on my truck.  

What has become a bit annoying are the LED headlamps on the new cars.  Seems the light spreads out so much more and when cars are approaching from the opposite direction the bright lights can be a bit blinding.

I wear contacts and I do find that oncoming headlights can be far too bright,  especially now as they turn the lights as you steer into a corner.

No doubt the driver can see better with the LED headlights but sure impacts the drivers coming toward them.

HIDS are the rage here these days,  usually behind a great big lense,  and of course the manufactures charge a premium for them.

Seems the car parts stores here do charge more for the HIDs vs standard headlamp.  My truck has them and every once in a while I'll have an oncoming car flash me to say why do I have my high beams on.  If I flick the high beams on for a second they quickly see the difference.  Good thing it doesn't get foggy here except on a very rare occasion.

Which is why I just flicked them on for a second and then right back off.  Most of the time I don't flick them on for a second to prove I'm not driving with my high beams on and that is when the oncoming car will put their high beams back on until they pass me think that I had high beams on when I didn't.  Oh well, it is what it is, especially since I don't do a lot of night driving.
