thank you for your awesome work, i too need a clean video output via cable a lot. (with RC2 Controller) I use the drone for live streaming and with wifi i sadly have a too big latency, to much frequency and picture quality interruptions or drops.

It would be great to get that feature....
Is there any way to get it a little bit more heard by the devs?  Because the first post about that is already a few months ago.

PS: the Mini 4 Pro is a wonderful Drone.

Actually the first requests when the support has been say this has been reported is 11/2023

bWhy hasn't DJI addressed the lack of a clean HDMI output on the DJI Mini 4 Pro, unlike its predecessors, each of which supported this feature? Previous models like the DJI Mini 2 were updated to connect with the DJI Smart Controller, which allowed users to choose whether to mirror a clean HDMI feed. The following year, the Mini 3 Pro was compatible with the RC Pro, which also supported this option.

Despite the Mini 4 Pro being possibly the best DJI mini drone ever released, complete with omni-directional obstacle avoidance, there’s still no new RC Pro controller—potentially an RC Pro 2—to enable OcuSync 4. This upgrade would allow the Mini 4 Pro to offer a clean HDMI mirroring option similar to earlier models.

What’s the reason behind this? Is DJI falling behind by not releasing a compatible RC Pro 2 controller that could also enhance the functionality of DJI's newest drones, the Air 3 and Mini 4 Pro? Are they delaying to align this release with the upcoming Mavic 4? It might be tempting to attribute this to cost-saving measures in research and development, but I suspect the real reason might be a strategic delay to coincide with the launch of the Mavic 4, potentially coming this November.

Check if you are connecting correctly. First you need to connect the USB-C<->HDMI cable and only then turn on the remote control. Only then will the necessary drivers be connected.

Yes I did that, like I said it's been working no problem and recently stopped. Have you tried it since last update?

Same for me.  I had a plan to take it out to my mother's house today for mothers day and now it doesn't work.  They probably nuked the function to sell more goggles.

The USB C HDMI output did not work with the actual firmware. Please reenable this feature.
I have solved my Problem.

It depends on the correct power on sequence:
- connect DJI RC 2 to monitor with USB C - HDMI cable
- power on monitor
- power on DJI RC 2
otherwise i get no video signal

Please make this a priority. These new drones need a way to output clean HDMI before I can even consider them for my work flow. Right now I can only Use Air 2S or Mini 3 Pro. I can't upgrade to Air 3 or Mini 4 pro without it. At the very least please release another Pro RC with dedicated HDMI if its not possible on any current controller. Right now we are missing critical functionality that was present on older drones.

Hello! It is now 2024 and we bought the mini 4 pro for our school and we’re incredibly disappointed when the rc2 did not have the ability to output a clean HDMI without OSD because we had this capability with the mavic 2! This is necessary as we rely on that feature to output over SDI and incorporate live drone footage into our live streams for sporting events!! Again we are very disappointed and need this long standing issue to be resolved…

that is not a solution.. the image quality is 720p 5mbps - and you need also a rtmp server, internet connection etc etc.... that is not any new thing, that has been in every dji products

@DJI - PLEASE CAN WE GET CLEAN FEED / OSD OFF for USB-C video out?
Using these drones for broadcast and live-video applications is good for our business and yours.

Also, the DJI RC 2 does not possess an HDMI input and and output. However, as the output feature has not undergone a compatibility test, using the RC 2 for HDMI output may result in unstable transmission or stuttering. We recommend conducting a test run before any live streaming or image output to ensure a stable connection.

it will never happen. DJI doesn't care of our opinion.

I have just bought a Mini 4 Pro and a RC Pro.....I ASSUMED they would talk to each other. I am very disappointed this is not the case. I need a clean HDMI output...what am I meant to do now?

Very disappointed DJI. Will there be an RC Pro 2 that works with it our an update soon.

Hi there, the RC-N2 remote controller does not support HDMI output or input and the RC 2 does not have HDMI input. Thank you for understanding and have a great day!

Here's a workaround that gets a clean feed HDMI out from the Mini 4 Pro: We use the drone with DJI Goggles 3 and DJI RC 2 and connect the goggles to the DJI RC PRO via USB-C. From there you get a clean HDMI out. At the moment, you are limited to 60 fps which is a bummer for broadcasting in Europe.

There is a setting on the Goggles 3 that you have to change to output a clean feed. (OSD in Goggles remains for flying). Can‘t check right now what it‘s called.

And this same feature is possible to add dji mini 4 software when using a USB-C output, just one tap and flight data is gone with USB-C - HDMI if dji wants.. it is now 1 year when we see posts here where dji says "we are checking this and reported" but NOTHING new in year now

Any update on the clean HDMI out feed?  You have forgotten all the Mini 4 pro & Air 3 pilots who need this feature

Hi, Danveal. The DJI RC 2 currently does not support HDMI pure camera image output. Thus making it not possible to disable the telemetry data. However, I'm more than glad to refer this request to the related team for evaluation. We appreciate your feedback.

Hi Terenc. DJI RC 2 does not support HDMI pure camera image output （Liveview Only）. (Namely, OSD information is hidden when using the HDMI output.)
