Unless it is cost prohibitive that is a great idea.  Would be nice to have the additional alternative way on/off the island.

It wouldn't be cheap thats why they dont want to do it.

Reminds me of a couple exclusive islands here in southeast Florida.  However, those residents had enough political clout to get it done.

Number 2 for me shows a scene that you wouldn't normally see,  aka the dustbin men having their morning briefing before they set out.
