Yes, good point and fortunately no neighbors for a mile or so.  However, it is an electronic drum set so I can just put on my headphones if I don't want to use the amplifier.

  Good thing I can turn down the volume on the headset then.  


My goal is to be able to play the drum solo in Wipe Out.  If I can learn to play as well as this 6 year old I'll be super happy.

Ah. The diagonal one painted brown and cream?  That takes a single-track road down from the town centre, over the railway line, to a small community by the river.  It's a dead-end (cul-de-sac) but it also leads to the footpaths along the Goyt valley.

Yes, that's the one.
I already thought it was a road, judging by the asphalt.
So that is probably not a good spot to put up a tripod.

There's very little traffic on it. But if you were to want to photograph trains, the footbridge would be a better spot.

I think so, but only in one direction I suspect (which goes for both bridges)

My tripod is quite big, so that would be blocking too much i guess.
