Yeah, totally get it.
I had one once, but that was from a rental apartment.

I recently reviewed the covenants and restrictions from a local HOA/CDD and I think many home owners are not reading them before signing to agree.  Lots of things the HOA/CCC can hold against them.  If they issue a fine and you don't pay they can even put a lien on your home.

Fortunately I only 'had' them when I was renting.

I wish they would write common sense ones vice these that hardly any home owners can comply with 100% of the time.

Yup. Probably written by lawyers that have nothing to do with the place itself but are only hired to write something that is covering as much as they can.
