Hi everyone,

I’m Italian and have been living in Frankfurt for six months. I always use Dipul and Droniq to plan my flights, but I’m surprised by the poor technical quality of both apps. Droniq’s area representation is unclear, and while Dipul is better, the zone colors frequently disappear. In Italy, we have similar services, but they work much better.

Additionally, the restrictions in Germany seem excessive compared to Italy. It’s hard to find good areas to fly, and there’s no distinction between drones. My Mini 3 weighs only 248g, with almost no risk of causing damage, yet it’s treated the same as much larger drones.

I’ve always respected the no-fly zones without issues, but I hope these apps improve soon, as the current situation is quite frustrating.

In conclusion, I highly recommend using this website for planning flights in Germany, as people here won’t hesitate for a minute to call the police to check on you. There are many beautiful places here, but you must follow the laws. Fly safely and without accidents! Goodbye!
