Enjoy the hike.

I got the hike in before it got too hot and also got back to the boat just before a short rain shower blew in.  Can't beat that for good timing.

That works. Glad you got it on. I'm on may way out to test the emlid. I spent 4 hours setting up the NtrIp network only to be stopped by the rein and winds. I hope it's better today.

Hopefully, since Debby has finally departed the US our weather will calm down again.  I hope you had success in testing the emlid.

It's funny It works at my office but it doesn't on the airfield where I can test the mapping accuracy. Right now The emlid is a $3,00.00 bowling ball. I am going out again tomorrow. All of the planets have to align and my lack of experience with surveying and satellites are probably the reason. Some of the systems that have to align are
Emlid,
NYS Ground Stations
My positions that I set
DJI Radio
The RTK Unit
The Satellites
Dronedeploy

If they all work It's wonderful. For some reason the Emlid doesn't always communicate with The state and DJI. I am sure I am missing a step but can't figure out which one. I asked the company for a checklist to help me out.

Wow, that is a lot that has to happen right o make the system to work.  Keep persevering I'm betting you'll get it figured out.

The problem is none of the tutorials show all of the steps and systems working together.  Once you figure it out and write it down you have it. I'll get it and that's part of the challenge. It's also job security because many people give up. One of the other pilots gave up already and I got 20 more jobs.

Wow, sounds like once you are up and running you'll have the market cornered in that area of drone expertise.

I think it's more of a niche than the other genres at least I' hoping so.  As the technology gets better more people enter it. The emlids used to take 2 hours to get a fix now they take 15 seconds to 2 minutes. As people look into it they may figure it's worth trying.

In a way then it's a good thing that it is a niche specialty.  

Today's good news - There are currently no active storms in the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico.

Good to hear. Looks like we have a clear week up north. Looking forward to it. I got all of the emlid issues squared away. Ready to map.

You're most welcome.  Believe it or not I completed all my "tasks" already and it is only 9:16 AM.  I went for an early 3.5 mile walk, got a haircut, and voted in the local primary.  It was strange as there was no waiting for the haircut and no line at the polling location.  I had planned to go to the local hobby shop but there was a sign on the door that said closed due to the death of the owner.  

Guess I'll get out my dive gear and go check out two sunken boat spots.  Maybe the recent storm that blew through may have stirred up some treasures from just underneath the sandy bottoms.

Well, I found no gold.  I did find another miniature cannonball.  Based on the smaller size I think it was from a saluting cannon.

Having a great quality of life is always a goal to strive for.  Speaking of that I'm going to head out for a 5 mile walk this morning.

That's a good thing... Do you use any kind of tracking device? Like Garmin or Fitbit....

It's very handy.  I like that it will pick up on an activity automatically.
