For those who are experiencing shaky footage with the Ronin MX, please refer to the troubleshooting section of the manual on page 44. Refer to point 2 and point 3 and try some of the steps in there. You can send me a personal message and I would be happy to help if the steps suggested are not working: https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/ronin-mx/en/Ronin-MX_User_Manual_V1.2_en_20160711.pdf
Hello. I realize this thread is quite old now however we have only recently acquired a M600 Pro and Sont A7R iv camera (surveying for photogrammetry) and have the same problem with oscillation of the gimbal. The one critical item of information I note that nobody seems to have mentioned is that the gimbal oscillation only occurs when the camera is switched on. So as everybody states, you can balance the camera perfectly and get great results from a balance test, but the moment the camera is switched on, the minor oscillation of the gimbal starts. You can reduce it or eliminate it on the ground by altering the stiffness setting but that only makes the problem worse when the drone is flying because now the gimbal is even more prone to movement due to the less stiff setting. The issue as I see it is due to electrical interference between the camera and the gimbal. The fact there is no oscillation when the camera is off means it cant be anything else. I found Ferrites on every available exposed cable gave a small improvement but still have not determined the cause of the interference. Im not an electronics person so that investigation is not so easy. |
