Hello, I am getting stuck in product profile page. It doesnt move to the next page after I click the Save button.

I've registered as a beta tester and my application is being reviewed. I ordered the Mavic Pro on Oct 6th so I have no idea when it'll arrive.

"Certificating" is indeed a word. Not a very common one, but still a real word.

My fault! Just realized the inconstency between main page and recruitment page regards this word.. Will count you in

Not true. It's for software and firmware revisions.

FYI to the Beta team:

I updated a couple of things on my profile, including 'extra detail you should know'. Also, there are 2 fields that do not seem to update properly. One is 'years of multi rotor experience' (less than 1), and years of photography experience (more than 3). When i select an answer in the drop down and click 'save', the selection clears and it appears I did not answer. I'm using an iMac with MacOS 10 Sierra and Safari v10.0.

I also applied for beta. I'm hoping the DJI Go UI gets a new prompt to inform the pilot about "tap to focus" functionality.. Otherwise YouTube will be flooded with more people complaining about soft focus without having read the manual (which will almost certainly explain the feature in great detail).

Who knows if the tap-to-focus will change. I played with it for a while today and indeed you need to tap to focus each time. There is a center auto focus that you can map to C1 or C2 but it's a one time auto focus and you need to press the button each time you want to refocus on a object if the distance has changed very much.

Thinking stick a qfn microcontroller/volt divider and button to control a pseudo autofocus (maybe focus once every 1-3 seconds or so). Seems easy enough if it doesn't blur the footage while focusing.

I want to stick a cree led on the bottom of the drone too, with a small buck to power off the battery. If they had a way to assign aux you could control it too, morse code, strobe, beacon.

If you can tap to focus there has got to be a software update that can put it to continuous focus on the centre. Same issue with the inspire. Got to love the Cree led's

I would hope it maintains focus in Active Track. Kinda useless to track a subject but not also focus at the same time.

I'm sure it will since the aircraft follows the subject at the same distance. Now if you change the position closer/further during Active Track I'm not sure.

This has been asked but it may warrant re-asking since it was not answered. Is there an extended warranty (coverage) if we test out new firmware and as a result it crashes or keeps going? I'm not a pessimist, but since it is BETA software - anything can happen.

I wouldn't expect any new features this early on. They probably want people for UAT (user acceptance testing) to confirm new patches won't totally crash the Mavic, won't cause strange behavior in the GO app, won't cause connectivity issues, etc. While DJI has surely done plenty of field testing, it always helps to get feedback from the masses once this goes out in the wild.

I am kinda of excited about testing the drone. (^.^)  I feel this initiative from DJI is pretty awesome. Hopefully, we can get some juicy insights when the beta rolls out. Cheers.

No, that's normal. I was wondering what was going on too, but that's just there to set your profile up. You'll have to click on the DJI Logo on the top left then and click the Mavic Beta Program button below it to sign up then.

Same here, the Mavic seems like the ultimative drone for hobbyists and even "somewhat professionals"!

The features it includes already from the launch are awesome and something I wanted for a long time already, sad that they don't include a USB C cable in the package tho and you'd have to buy it extra

I thought recruitment for this closed on the 14th? have they extended it?

Looks like they have extended recruitment to the 16th. My guess would be due to shipping/production delays? Can't really beta test without the hardware.

It could also have been extended simply because there weren't 100 users recruited yet.

Yeah thinking maybe even do a MT-G2. I designed a small buck that would be perfect for this. Night flight too.

There is two types of possible crashes being a beta tester - software crash & drone crash!

Completed the process with a DJI Mavic on order, with "onorder" in the serial spot.
It would be nice if someone could post a step by step process to change the serial number
Also one to let me "add" devices to my settings.

We never know what might be the shipment problem. But I have a feeling Dji is rushing to get the Dji goggles out as soon as possible.

Asked about the goggles as a "package", email says, not until the news release. I am hoping to get the DJI goggles also, I only have a mini droid as a visual, unless I use my cheap RCA 10", both are terrible in direct sunlight.

Actually, if you look at the trial period it goes from Oct 16 to Oct 23rd. Hopefully they are planning to send the drone on time for testing on those dates!

1. Has anyone got past the Certification stage?

2. Will the quote be adjusted soon?

Or will both change upon Receiving your Mavic and entering your SN?
