if your using windows os ie windows 7,8,10 etc u need to disable driver enforcement.

I finally got the updated downloaded and installed, it appears to be a bandwidth issue; DJI pushes an announcement to every DJI owner and they all try to download. How about pushing ranges of serial numbers for the download over several days? As far as disabling OS security 'direct path to the kernel' is not practical nor desirable.  
I do really hope that a company that charges what DJI charges can get the USB drivers certified, that would be like pocket change.

Not sure we all try and download, some of wait for the real word beta testers if we are not experiencing any issue with the current FW, DJI are worth enough to push out an update and have enough bandwidth I'm sure, Apple manage it with IOS now and that is to a much bigger audience,

What would be better would be fr us to be able to download the update file locally and then update when we choose to instead of downloading and updating in real time or at least the choice I guess.
I think DJI assistant for MAVIC 2 allows for this and also software role backs so this might be an options for you  if you are having issues updating.

Ive been lucky where the updates run fine (i bet I just jinxed myself!)
That said I think there are issue with DJI assistant being blocked on Windows!

I agree,its about time DJI got their driver certified by windows hardware quality labs.they seem to have a much better agreement with apple than they do with Microsoft,the DJI go4 app also gets released for apple devices before android devices.Ive updated my drone to the new firmware and 'still' waiting for the android go4 app!it would be useful if DJI would fully complete all updates (firmwares and software) and upload it all at the same time.after reading people comments on this thread about disconnects im reluctant to fly my drone without the new app version and right now the weather is perfect but its just sat on the shelf waiting for the android update.pain in the ass tbh

I think there is a mistake, i have updated DJI Go 4 on my Android device from 4.3.12 to 4.3.14 (not .16)

Nothing about Gimbal shaking issue ?

Has anyone tested flying M2 after the firmware update?

Hello. 18 minutes of flight time today without issues. For better connection I've used an airplane mode with my android phone galaxy note 8. Waiting for DJI Go 4 v.4.3.16 update on android.

After updating to Aircraft Firmware: v01.00.04.00 the DJI GOOGLES does not link in the Mavic 2 zoom.
Any updates planned for DJI GOOGLES?

Updated my MP2 this morning and finally resorted to using DJI Go to get it done. Several failures with DJI Assistant. Yes, it was the latest version of Assistant. Assistant failed at different locations of the update so there doesn't seem to be one area of failure to update.

I got something similar , but I believe it was a new nfz update for the controller, I updated mine with dji assistant , I got a prompt to update the nfz on the drone but not the controller in assistant . It wasn’t until I plugged my iPhone on WiFi that I saw the little update . I flew 3 batteries today went as far as 3.1 miles with no issues or disconnection , I noticed an improvement on the signal flying on my usual spot.

Is it possible?

People who spent 500 bucks don't get quickly updates as iOS users...

I have often pondered on this. Why do Apple users seem to get more 'attention' in product releases? The answer is simple: an Apple fan will pay much more for any device for a given task than users of other systems. Follow the money.

There may be other reasons for the Android releases being slower such as Google licencing agreements and the much wider user base needing more work to meet but if folks will pay 5x more for a 'phone because it's an Apple product they will get priority. The 'I' in iPhone stands for 'I'm important'!

I like to think the IOS releases are the beta and when proven to work inside the Jobs 'iron wall' the Android release will be solid.

I live in hope.

Updated to this latest firmware on my Mavic 2 Pro a couple of days ago. Fist time to test fly today. I am using the 7.85 Crystal Sky monitor and this update has made the Crystal Sky unusable. The app crashed 5 times in approx 10mins, C1 and C2 buttons either do not work or are delayed by about 20 secs, video freezes every few secs and most app features don't work as expected. Connected to my Galaxy Note 8 and everything works as normal. Just rolled back to previous firmware and everything on the Crystal Sky is working as normal again. Any ideas? Please don't tell me we have to wait for months again for a Crystal Sky update. Beginning to wish I had not got the Crystal Sky, when it works its great, but have to wait forever for updates!

Smart controller after over 22 minutes still shows 0%. WiFi connected, Micro SD card slot empty. Third time doing this with no results, yet controller insists on a firmware update. Is there another method to the Smart Controller update?

I had similar grief. Use DJI assist 2 for mavic and a USB cable.

I was hoping same way but hope does not help a safe and smooth fly then decided burn my money and  got Ipad pro , now have less money in the pocket and less worry in brain during fly.

Well I think that DJI users who have spent money on a DJI drone should be treated the same way, whether they have an iphone or an Android device. Neither system, Apple or Android, belongs to the DJI, so I see no reasons to benefit one or the other. If I spend 1500 euros in a drone, I am free to choose the device I prefer to use with the remote control (with a supported OS of course ), but the updates must be there for both systems.
And I add that users should not be considered ' beta testers ' at any app or firmware upgrade, unless the drones are provided free of charge. If I buy a 1500 euro drone, I demand that it works, and the app that runs the drone must be working at 100% always, at the same level of the product purchased. This is the real point, we are paying customers , NOT BETA TESTERS, end of the discussion.

With such a great follow me feature, I often struggle to inform the drone not to fly back where it was when I started filming. This is a major sticking point with the MV2.

Android tends to take longer on apps. Due to so many different devices it probably is more difficult to get bugs worked out. iOS is universal across their devices.

No 5D button customization.

DJI launch a premium product and a handful of committed customers discover it's firmware is an unfinished project. They find core functions, such as the date/time stamp on flight records are missing. ..and 6 months later only have bland promises to work with.

DJI implementation of Android for the Crystalsky and Smart Controller units is patchy to say the least. It may be that the clipped version of Android required for operation in China is the issue here. This may explain the difficulty but the slow reaction is baffling.

A major factor is this company started out on Iphone and the core programmers are still are, it shows with the SD card functionality and USB issues on Android.

Is there possibility to downgrade to previous firmware once you are on this latest one?
