You left one answer out.  4.  Had trouble updating.  That's me.  I go thru the steps over and over and over.  Yes, I know, the definition of insanity.  However what else can I do.  I did the update in December with no problems.  I'm doing exactly the same thing but it's not working.  Talked to the techies, they can't help me.  I've spent a day and a half of this and I'm pissed.

Might have to do with the App itself if you are using the Standard Model.

That's what happened to me first time I updated.  No problems at all.  Smooth as butter.  This time, can't do a darn thing with it.  My .txt page is blank!  Nothing!  It's on the SD card, but blank.  Hope you have a better second time then me.

I have the P3P.  I have removed the app and downloaded it again.  No help.  I won't go into all the things I tried because that's not the intent of this thread.  I was just curious as to how many people had trouble updating.  When I had no trouble the first time, I couldn't understand why so many people where having trouble.  Now I see why.  But I don't understand why you can do it once but not again.

I don't know how to start a poll.  Do you want to start one with how many updated with no problems and how many had problems?  Just curious.  Maybe it could be... 1.  Updated no problem, 2.  Updated eventually, 3. Still working on it.

P3S. Update stuck at 40%. Bird beeping for an hour. Tried several times still the same. Tried last time, djigo shows upgrade failed. Restarted all, upgrade banner now gone and settings show no upgrade required. Tried with iphone and andoid 5 tablet.

Today I tested my P3P with my brother-in-law's Sony phone (rather than my Samsung T310).  Worked perfectly - so live video feed issue is definitely with the compatibility of new firmware with T310.  I'll wait with you Eric to see if DJI are going to do a T310 fix - otherwise I'll watch for updates on how you get on with Litchi !.

I should have mentioned - when the aircraft did the upgrade it gave the updates tones throughout until the battery went flat.  When new battery inserted the upgrade appeared to have completed ok - not sure why it would do this.

I was having problems with a clean install of DJI Go 2.7.0 app for my Android device.  I found that although I deleted the app in Applications, when I looked into the Device Storage there was a DJI folder with sub folders still remaining.  So I deleted that also to ensure a "clean" install.

Took a risk and paid for Litchi.  It works perfectly with Samsung T310.  Live video feed sorted.

Hello, I ve finally bought litchi too. The 1st time there was a black screen instead of live feed, but As soon as I ve clicked on camera live feed was ok.
Litchi is cheaper than a new tablet (but it will be great if dji go could be fixdd for our tab 3).

For those with firmware upgrade failed  : it s a shame there is no dual bank for firmware memory (when you upgrade the fw, only one bank is flashed) or mini boot firmware when it failed... it could be useful when the upgrade crashes.

hi, just had my p3a.  had the latest firmware and software installed. im encountering problems connecting my android marshmallow devices to the drone.  i am not able to consistently connect and if i do, i get disconnected a few seconds after.  im using a nexus 7 (2013) and a xperia z5 compact. i already tried the usb debugging mode but still having problems.

Just updated from 1.5 - have not been airborne for around 4 months.

The update went smooth.

Just gone back to v2.6.1 and live video has come back on my Tab 3 8.0 (T310).  I thought that the latest v2.7.1 app might have resolved the live feed issue but it hasn't so the compromise is the earlier version for me. Downloaded as zip from apkplz

Regarding vibration that some people have experienced, I have it prior to take off and if I hold the drone to reduce the vibration it stops.  Then when I release the hold after about five seconds it starts again.  I was thinking that a slower prop speeds any discrepancies in profile or weight might set up subtle vibration which then forces the giro to compromise.  This might cause over compensation and make the vibration worse which then makes the giro work even harder.  Anyway I weighed each prop and that was ok but had one which was slightly distorted.  After changing to a new prop the vibration has now stopped.

I'm able to downgrade firmware on the drone, but the live view isn t available.
I'm not able do downgrade the dji go app (as I haven't the old apk). How have you done that ?

Regarding the vibration, it s a good idea to check the prop. It s like a car wheel not correctly balanced ... there are plenty of vibration (and a strong noise)

Hello Eric.  I kept the latest firmware for the Drone and Transmitter.  I just changed the App on the (T310) from latest v2.7.1 and downgraded to v2.6.1.  A little difficult to find but you will find it as a zip file on https://apkplz.com/android-games/dji-go

I'm hoping the auto updates don't upgrade it back to 2.7

I had small vibration on the ground. After trying my spare set of props as you suggested, I do not have any vibration visible. Of course there is a small vibration as motors are operating and props spinning, but swapping props is very inexpensive to try.  It is possible props balancing does not fix some other weight distribution issue the props may have. Some may even have a set of props laying around as drone comes with extra set of props. Give it a shot. I did not detect any weight variations though, may be my scale resolution is too poor. All weighted 0.4 oz

just updated p3a works great no problems

New update caused my gimbal to have a slight tilt.  She flies fine though. But the tilt is noticeable especially at lower altitudes.  Forces me to use gimbal role.

No problems at all, never had any with any firmware upgrade on P2 and P3.

I upgraded my P3 Prof, 3 batteries and the RC. Fully tested now and experiencing video link loss and gaps in recording video at 4k 24fps. This happens about 5% of the time. Also the ultrasonic sensor reported errors and the reported height is wrong by about 10 metres! Ultrasonic sensor was telling me to land immediately.

I upgraded my P3P, app (on iPad mini2) and RC.

RC asked me to upgrade again...did get that!
Did an IMU calibration. Calibrated compass. Gusty day, phantom was jittery and not very keen to stay put. Responded weird to control input, like, I would slowly bank it left, then applied a bit of right stick but it kept drifting left. Aggressive inputs would respond accordingly.

Brought it down, rolled back to 1.6...still a bit jittery, still not going exactly where I pointed it and drifting sideways, still responding weirdly to control input, but less that with 1,7.

Tried going a couple of times between 1,6 and 1,7 and getting consistent results. Did a couple of IMU calibrations...

I'm not sure if it's the gusty wind messing my flight or the drone itself, but I've flown in harsh wind and it felt much more solid in the air and controllable...

Not sure what to do...1.7 gives me less confidence, 1.6 seems kinda ruined too, and it feels strange to me having the RC and APP up to date and not the drone...

Ill be very interested to see if you get a result from DJI Eric.  Reading throughout the forum, it is not just the (T310) that has no live feed.  Incidentally when I contacted Litchi they said that the Samsung Tab 3 8.0 (T310) would not work with there software, but others in this forum say it does. So confusing.

First flight was stable & responsive, in fact is seemed like rapid descend was more stable than before.  Not sure why.

Did update on aircraft and RC, re-calibrated IMU & gimbal.  Was this update supposed to affect batte ...

There were no changes to the battery in the last firmware.

Im not sure for what is that for. As Im new to this. They had replaced the unit, and still i get the same problem. I dont what else to do. It felt like i threw cash out of the window when i purchased dji

the litchi team told me the tab 3 (T310/315) isnit supported. Anyway I've tested it a few days ago and it was OK (live view, response time, ... ).
On DJI Go, if this occures with other devices, I hope DJI will find a global solution.

I've another idea : upgrade the tab3 to Android Lollipop ... I will try it later and keep you informed ... and if still the problem maybe I will downgrade the Phantom firmware (and dji go app).

Hi Eric thanks for the information.  Ill be interested in your Lollipop update.  I suppose it wont just easily load up with normal software updates, I think you have to go through a custom ROM.  It will be great though if it works.  I wonder why Litchi would want to say the software doesnt work when it does?  Especially when they are in the business of selling software.

I've upgraded my Samsung Tab3 to lollipop (Cyanogenmod alternative firmware, v 5.1.1) : it s still the same (no live feed but the buttons & menus are ok).
I've installed Litchi too : there is no live feed too - before the upgrade, it was ok. I've installed the last version of litchi (witch is more recent than the one I had before the android upgrade), so I don't know if the problem is on this new android firmware, or on last lichi apk.

So I will now use my Samsung Note 4 instead of the tab 3, ans maybe by a new Tab later ...

A lot of hard work there Eric, and it ends up I would imagine being very frustrating for you.  Would you go back to KitKat or even try the DJI v2.6.1?  It works for me but of course we want the latest software to work really don't we.  As I haven't upgraded my Tab 3 to lollipop I was thinking of putting on the Litchi software but am now a bit worried if their latest version might not show live feed again.  Maybe its time for a change of tablet, but do we know which ones will stay the course and still work with later upgrades.  I don't want to get another tablet and then to find at some versions later it is not working again.  It would be good if DJI could tell us the best tablet spec for their software.  For example is it processing speed, ie Quad core? or graphic capabilities, or something else.  They write the software so they should know.  We all know that for the Samsung Tab 3 8.0 up to version V2.6.1 I was very happy with the software and live feed was very fast.  Anyway just a few thoughts, but we need some answers don't we?

An update of both RC & P3 Pro firmware on 24 March rendered my Samsung Tab 3 8" incompatible and I cannot receive a video feed. I can control the P3 and even see changes to brightness on the histogram but no video. I have a Samsung S7 Edge running Android 6.0.1  The phone works okay despite not being on the list of compatible devces! I also own an Osmo and it to had a firmware upgrade in late March and though it too was working well with the Tablet it too does not work after the firmware upgrade. Quite wierd.

My issue is if I replace my tablet how long can I expect to be able to use it with the P3 Pro before it too become unuseable. I feel DJI need to publish what impact the firmware update will have on compatibility or publish minimum OS and Hardware requirements to run the GO App to have full functionality. perhaps they could take a page out of the PC software industry and have new software work on older hardware systems.
I have no issue with updates to firmware as its to enhance the capability of the Aircrafts or fix bugs but DJI could manage the process better and at least make sure they support older hardware minus the new capabilities at least.

DJI Tech Support pointed me to the list of compatible tablets & phones. JB HiFi had never heard of the 705C I suspect it is the Tab S2. Samsung couldn't help with the video problem either.

I have thought of installing the HDMI module as a work around, any feedback will be welcome.

I am sorry about that. But as the firmware updates sometime get more complex, older or less performance devices may not work anymore. I used to have a iPad2 and when I updated long ago it would not work anymore. I had to purchase a iPad Air.
All I can say is to use one of the recommended devices.
One that is not on the list but works well is the NVIDIA Shield K and it can be purchased for $200.

Thanks DJI Ken any thoughts about using the HDMI module and setting the HD to dual feed. This is what DJI Tech Support said could be done. Reluctant to try it but maybe a cheaper alternative to buying an iPad Air.
