I have it only since 2 weeks now.. already done 7hr of flight but till now i've keep the distance at 2500mt maximum, by the other hands I've reaced the maximum altitude of 500mt

I flew 1mile yesterday or 1700 meters for the first time, seagull nearly took me out! Came back with about 50% battery.

to be honest i am way too scared - even at 800 meters out into the ocean the mavic pro suddenly cut the live feed - i had to instinctively bring it back into sight an manually land it.

2km was  maximum for me... i think it`s enought

I still yet need to do the 4.3 mile test on this thing.

Well, I didn't technically fly it. An Easyjet pilot flew it. {:4_142:}

Platinum might allow for further distances with the longer battery life.

Furthest distance, my happy to say has been:

33,551 feet which is equivalent to approximately  6.3 miles over water.

On a single charged battery round trip to home base and 9% juice left.

If the MP had confronted strong head winds, the MP probably would have landed in the ocean.

You will manage early in the morning but not after. IMHO keep a look out for landmarks on the live feed in case you have to find it.

Initially I thought RTH speed would be the most optimal (36km/h), but I read somewhere the flight time DJI indicates is tested in optimal conditions at 25 km/h.
So I am wondering which speed is most battery efficient

my record was 7km, but that was the day I lost my mavic at sea (not pilot error)

Hylenz your basically just doing big circles lol i look at this as going out in a straight line then back....basically anyone can do what u did if just flying around

Vps off and p mode will be most efficient speed for battery

And landed with a still remaining battery of 28%

Nothing beats the accuracy of one inch. It is defined as three corns of barley in a row.

unreal guys! you guys are bold or I am just a ________ because I have had DJI drones for almost 3 years and never flew over 1000ft away lol.

Always afraid its gonna lose connection going far but I dunno why I do considering the range of the mavic and the fact that it would just RTH.

Fly using binoculars and you'll keep your mavic the whole time in los

My solicitor is using the word telescope in my case.

my top distance on a battery was 9354m according to my app data - which also says that my top altitude is 240m - i know that figure i definately incorrect. Therefore i cant promise accuracy on the first value either.

cruising or blasting by at 38 mph and on the P4P..wow 47 mph

As a new Mavic/Spark pilot I am still afraid to let my drones go out of LoS. Must admit the Mavic is much easier to keep LoS than the Spark.

Did 5 kilometers or 3.10 miles once in a perfect day with no wind, landed with the battery at 20% left.

my far flight: around 3 km

500m - 'cos thats all that is allowed in the UK - unaided visual line of sight.  Where for the avoidance of doubt the CAA have defined  "VLOS operations are normally accepted out to a maximum distance of 500 m" in CAP722.

How to shoot yourself in the footby the DJI community  . Two surveys  on one page . One called how far do you fly and the other is do your fly outside VLOS . Lemmings jump at the chance to participate . Makes for a great survey for the FFA  CAA considering almost every one posting owns a drone.  Its not a hidden secret that pilots and goverments  what to see the wings of drones clipped and stupid surveys like this give them the ammunition they need .  Its one thing to post a video that walks the line but to partiipate in a survey that one day might be used as evidence that forces DJI to release a update that caps the distance a drone can fly from its controller to a mile. You  have to wonder about the intentions of the posters .
