Hi there. Thanks for reaching out, and we're sorry you're getting such an error. When a “Gimbal Stuck” warning is shown in the DJI Fly app (error code 40002), the gimbal may be stuck by debris (for example, the aircraft was powered on when it was folded, or the gimbal protector was not removed). Please check whether there is debris on the gimbal. If yes, clean off them, restart the aircraft, and calibrate the gimbal. Or please try powering off the aircraft and move the gimbal gently in every angle with your hand, and check whether there is any debris in the gimbal. If not, power on the aircraft and calibrate the gimbal. Remove the aircraft’s microSD card and try again. Please keep us updated. Thank you.

Hello DJI Tony,
I have the same problem with my little used Magic Mini.
The gimbal moves in all directions at startup and then points straight ahead. However, I get the error message 40002. I have already tried all the tips and tricks, unfortunately without success.
The automatic calibration is stuck at 10%.
The gimbal does not bump anywhere and can be moved freely.
The latest firmware is installed and the drone has not crashed or anything similar.
Care Refresh has expired and I'm wondering whether it's still worth repairing.
It seems to be a common error, perhaps DJI should show goodwill regarding a repair.

Best Alex

Hello there. Sorry about the experience with the drone. I suggest sending it back to DJI for checking. They will conduct a damage assessment to determine the issue and then they will send you a quotation. It will be up to you to continue with the payment or request to cancel the repair and they will send back the drone unrepaired. To have an idea of the pricing for each part, You can use this link: https://repair.dji.com/repair/price-inquiry?lang=en Please feel free to keep me posted if you need further assistance. Have a great day ahead.

Hello Tony, thanks for the quick reply.
Can I assume that the examination of the defect and the creation of the repair offer are free of charge?
If I decide against repairing the Mavic Mini for economic reasons, there will be no additional costs, until possibly the postage for the return, will come to me?
Best Alex

One more question, is there a kind of service program for the problem with the blocked gimbals. In the case of frequently occurring serial errors, Apple places such programs that allow a free repair even according to the legal warranty. Repairs can also be carried out in DJI's own shops, for example Munich. Here, too, Apple is a pioneer with the Genius Bars. Greetings, Alex

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

Kindly follow the troubleshooting steps below to see if you can isolate the issue.

1. Please check whether there is debris on the gimbal. If yes, clean off them, restart the aircraft, and calibrate the gimbal.

2. Please try powering off the aircraft and move the gimbal gently at every angle with your hand, and check whether there is any debris in the gimbal. If not, power on the aircraft and calibrate the gimbal.

3. And remove the aircraft’s microSD card and Power on the aircraft and then calibrate the gimbal.

If the issue persists, please go to Online Repair Request and send back the aircraft to DJI for diagnosis. Thank you for your understanding.
