Did you buy the Goggles L?

Do you think it's still worth waiting? I'm already close to selling my Avata 2 along with the glasses.

I primarily purchased my Avata 2 for work, but not have O3 support or releasing an O4 air unit by now is kinda depressing.  I want to used these awesome goggles for play!  Im still more than happy to run my OG V1 goggles but the video quality and color of the G3 is insane.

It would be nice to have an actual update rather than the copy-paste response, not giving me much confidence.  

That said, I did see a post from China where the video feeds was clearly on a wing and a DJI air unit....streaming at 60mbps.  So either that was an unreleased O4 unit or a firmware update for the O3 unit.

Exactly! It would be enough for me to know that, I don't know... in half a year a new Air unit with support for O4 will be released, but like this, I'm slowly losing hope... And it is really depressing!

Just raised an Amazon return request for the Avata 2 and goggles 3.

Couldn't justify keeping it with the lack of any solid time frame for backwards compatibility.

I'll continue to use my Goggles 2 and plan to switch to Walksnail long term.

Really poor show DJI.

No, they don't care.

Partly my fault too for not doing much research before buying.

I knew the Avata 2 was aimed more at beginners but thought goggles 3 would have been quickly supported for those that invested in multiple air units and O3 quads.

It is what it is.  Hope they pull their finger out for everyone else waiting.

Can the dji goggles 3 be used for sharing (video-in) ? im trying to get goggles for sharing video feed from my walksnail drones...... tia

Thank you for reaching out and we apologize for the inconvenience. DJI has not announced any news about the compatibility of the new Goggles 3 with the DJI O3 Air Unit yet. At the moment only DJI Goggles 2 and DJI O3 Air Unit is compatible.

Yup, that's what I did

Just build with Walksnail, that's what I'm doing rather than waiting for DJI to get things sorted.

DJI's been very disappointing   No reason to let their failures dictate our futures

man i wish i could do that without carrying even more goggles around with me. caddx seems much more innovative and in tune with their audience nowadays.
but switching all my drones over would be quite expensive

Be warned, the plugs Caddx use on their VTX suck and literally first time I try to update it I bent pins. I have been building drones for years. Their build quality sucks compared to DJI unfortunately

I feel exactly the same. I also have an unfinished FPV drone at home with DJI Goggles 3, and at this moment, there is neither a new air unit nor backward support for O3.

So the Goggles 3 now support the O3 air unit. This is after the DJI customer support in this thread consistently told everyone that there were no plans for this. You are a complete and utter joke DJI. There’s lots of people including myself, that have sold the Goggles 3 and downgraded just to be able to fly with O3 air unit. If we had known that an update was going to be available in the coming months and that the issue was being worked on, I think I speak on behalf of most that we would have held onto the Goggles 3.

So happy I didnt sell or send my kit back knowing a top company like DJI would sort the issue out, well done DJI, you can take my money, excellent products with excellent support, well done

Yup... I sold mine, and with the cash I got I just bought another lol. The communication with the bots is a joke, they basically told us they wouldn't be doing it then did it. Glad they did but my god was this messy.

Some of us keep telling you guys that DJI forum mods here are never gonna communicate anything that isn't already publicly known and communicated by DJI on their social media. If you buy products that aren't compatible with your other products, then sell them before an update for that compatibility is out, there is absolutely no one to blame but yourself

Nope. Old Air Units were not updated and there's no menu item under aircraft selection menu for them. But now we can complain about that for the next few months.

No, buying a product that doesn't fit your needs, then selling it because you couldn't wait for software update just because a random uninformed forum moderator told you there are no plans for it is ridiculous. Also, things often get lost in translation since these mods are probably all Chinese. Just don't make your purchasing/selling decisions based on what forum mods tell you is all I'm saying.
