I have to agree with you.  Using a spray gun might be fast but seems a bit wasteful and definitely doesn't put on a heavy enough coat for external uses in my estimation.

We do use spray guns here in factories and workshops. They get a nice thick coat on for sure.

They certainly can and do.

We just had a thing with one of the friends of our middle kid.
She was caught stealing by our daughter.
Luckily it was after the fact (at home) and we were able to inform her parents without much hassle. And they had a good chat with her and the store.
But this can stay with you for a long time (if not forever)

I've never actually used a paint sprayer so I'm not talking from the experience of painting.  But as a casual observer it sure seems that rolling is the better way to go.

We can call it whatever it needs to be called but the bottom line as long as it leaves that lasting impression to preclude the event from ever happening again.  Right from wrong is Just one of many life lessons one has to learn.

Whatever works best for you.  I usually brush the sides and small areas and roll large areas.  I did repaint the exterior door on one side of my multi-purpose building and used a brush for the entire project.  Turned out really well and didn't leave any evidence of brush strokes on it.

The roller leaved a lot of fibres in the paint (yes, it was the right roller, probably the quality was bad, it was cheap, so that would explain it)
Fortunately the brushed results are looking good, so I'm good. Just took a bit longer.

I had a roller that did that to me once.  It came in a pack of 3 so I took the remaining two back and complained to the hardware store.  He said he had received two other complaints on that brand's rollers.  He gave me a replacement pack of a different brand and texture and they worked okay.

Yes I assume that is the problem and with better rollers, they will probably stay in place.
But it's done already. With the brush. And the indoor paint is no problem, so I'll use the roller for that.

It's starting to improve. Next week should be better.
And I hope so, since we will be installing the window frames + do some mason work.
