New remote controller firmware for Phantom3 Professional, Phantom 3 Advanced, Inspire 1 series and M100

Remote controller firmware v1.4.30 is now available for upgrade. To upgrade, launch the DJI GO app, tap through Camera View > Aircraft Status Bar > Overall Status, and follow the on-screen instructions.

New features include:

1. Press and hold the C1 button then use the gimbal dial to carry out manual focus for X5 gimbal.

2. Press and hold the C2 button then use the camera setting dial to trim the roll movement of the gimbal.

I did the update :-) the peeeeep peeeeeep ..... is anointing like hell. I did it in my office and my colleagues thought we have a fire alarm.
So please make this in the future little bit more discreet please.

I do this at home and it annoys ME like crazy.  There needs to be some way to reduce the sound level, change the type of chime or turn it off.

Nice with a tilting crosshair for the gimbal. No need for a fix anymore

Yep. Im not Tim but they just "fixed" the tilting horizon

Is this an APP update or controller update? If it's a controller update, how is this accomplished? Can you be more detailed please? Many thanks!

I think what confuses Gary and many others is that the controller is updated via the app since quiet recently so no need to be sarcastic

I just figured this out, thank you for the update. DJI Tim, is there any reason that my gimbal would be tilted 45 degrees to the left on startup and the only way to get it straight is to do a gimbal calibration, EVERY time I fly?

When you click and hold the C2 button it appears so you can use it as a reference when adjusting the tilt with the camera adjustment dial

No Just the controller

Have an issue with P3 Pro after the RC update. When I take a picture I lose all camera info in the app. It no longer displays ISO, shutter speeds, EV, or picture mode, and then it comes back like it reset or something and my shutter speed always set at lowest possible settings. This happens after I take every picture in manual mode. I didn't try auto mode because It seemed like odd behaviour so I landed immediately. I shoot panoramic images daily so this is a huge inconvenience, but I am more concerned with the functionality.

It's also not saving the pictures, and making the Deet---Deet Deet sound after it tries to save the image like it is resetting the camera. In between is see the DJI logo flash onscreen for a second in the camera view.

I tried:
Formatted SD Card
Deleted and Reinstalled DJI GO app
Auto and Manual modes

Edit Update:

Gimble feels hot.
Recording video worked, and then was able to take a picture, but then it reset again and couldn't take a picture or record video.

What did you do to my brand new P3 with this firmware update! ;\

no issue on mine all worknig as it shoud be,

Try a diferent SD card

Format in the P3

Reset both camera and MC settings .

Reboot

What is react? I reset the camera settings and it seems to have worked. I will continue to test. Curious why this would need to be done, and how it would fix it?

Edit Update:
It didn't totally fix it. When I switch to video mode it is still rebooting camera, and switches back to camera.

What is react, and MC settings  that I need to also reset? I already tried another SD card, and it didn't change anything.

It only worked temporarily it's doing the same thing again. The gimbal base is pretty hot, is this normal?

Edit Update:
LED on gimbal flashes green until it connect to RC and then it is solid green.
LED on Phantom 3 Flashes Green/Yellow/Red several times until it connects and then flashes green.
I don't remember the P3 lights cycling like this prior to the RC upgrade, can anyone confirm if this is normal?

So I guess the remote for P3 standard does not need upgrade?

Its upgraded via the DJI Go App,  Connect controller to phone or tablet, make sure it has internet connection and follow onscreen  instructions

it went thru the beeeeep beeeeep  cycle for a bit and then shut off .  RC light is now red and all 4 other lights are lit white

Never shot off during a beep beep cycle update. Wait for the Apps telling you it is finished. You risk having problems now.

I did the 2 updates and for me after a quick flight I have no problems. So far so good.

Well it is a very good new and so simple way to update a firmware. I wish we will be able to do that for the bird itself. No ?

A few other people are having the same issues I am with the camera rebooting, and inability to go into video mode after today's updates, but still no idea why. I talked to DJI support and they have no clue either but offered an RMA to send it in for repairs. The unit is 11 days old.

I have a big problem with RC Firmware update from V1.3.20 to V1.4.30.

Steps I have done:
1. Update DJI GO App from V2.3.0 to V2.4.0 (available today in App Store)
2. Update Remote from V1.3.20 to V1.4.30 through DJI GO App

After the download of the firmware and during the update process the update failed!
The Current version shows now -> Unknown.

I also removed the DJI GO App and reinstalled it again.
Upgrade of the remote ist no more possible and the remote is unusable.

What can I do, to bring my remote running again? Is there any Hardreset Key-Combination?
See pictures below -> the third picture shows the RC without iPad mini 3 connected.

It's a GL 300A. In the meanwhile, i saw some information under the following link from sploodge.

But the four key combination doesn't help in my case. It does not download the firmware  again in the DJI GO App V2.4.0.
The app shows the Current version as Unknown (before update, it shows V1.3.20).
During the update process the firmware was downloaded successfully and the statusbar was on 100% and then failed.
I tried also to downgrade the RC with version 1.3.20 via USB Port, but this doesn't work.
Could it be, that this is a new problem with the new GO App V2.4.0?

Do the key combination and Try installing V1.320 via USB and see what happens
