What’s New?

• Updated No Fly Zone Management.
• For increased safety, the flight is restricted to a height of 30 m and distance of 50 m when not connected or logged into the app during flight, including DJI GO 4 and all apps compatible with DJI aircraft.
• In Gesture mode, you can now take selfies even if the drone isn't following you. Just make a frame with your hands within 23 ft (7 m) of the aircraft while facing toward the camera.
• Added a lowest altitude limit (1 ft, 0.3 m) for Gesture mode, and improved the aircraft's ability to recognize the wave gesture.
• Improved ActiveTrack performance while recording video.
• RTH at Current Altitude is now disabled by default.
• Reduced video lag during aircraft rotation.
• Fixed an issue where the remote controller and aircraft couldn't connect in some regions.
• Reduced video downlink latency when Wi-Fi signal is weak.  
  

Notes:

• Restart the aircraft and remote controller when the update is complete.
• If the firmware update fails, restart the aircraft, remote controller and DJI GO 4 or DJI Assistant 2, then try updating again.
  

Awesome job DJI, these are some of the types of updates we like to see

Glad to see updates coming in...I'm hoping DJI is monitoring this board and looking for opportunities to improve the product.  Can't wait to test these out myself, whenever the Fly More Combo arrives hopefully before 4th of July...

Video lag on rotation is terrible...
This defect is not present in dji spark video demos. Is my spark defective?

same issue here after update

the update was easy, but i still have 2 second lag on and video feed. AAAAAARRRRGGGGH!!!

after the update the temperature of the battery pass to 35 celsius !!! and the funs work a lot !

did you try turning off your Bluetooth or putting your phone in airplane mode?

I'm having the same problem. I just received my spark and the live video feed is basically unusable. Half the screen goes green and the video is choppy. When there is an image it's like 10 seconds behind or more. I've tried using iPhone 7 and my iPad and it happens on both. I did try turning on airplane mode and that didn't make a difference either. i even deleted the app and re-downloaded it. Any help for this issue? Is there a way to hard wire the controller to the phone or iPad? I can only fly as long as I see it since I can't use the live video feed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What am I doing wrong? If I am in just free flight on my phone (with virtual joysticks) then video option is disabled.

Start with phone on airplane mode, then hit wifi and ensure Bluetooth is off. Works well for me.

Hopefully after they fix the connection issues..

dji goggles work but you cant go over 50 meters...that is not good

The disconnection issue should be updated the soonest. It is getting terrible when you can't even fly out 10-20 meters without getting disconnections.

It could have something to do with your RTH settings in the Go 4 app. if you have your AC is getting disconnected and your settings are set so your AC lands on the spot when disconected then it will land on the spot. this is only speculation. hopefully its a simple fix in the settings.

Hi, i have a problem with spark and assistant 2 connection. The assistant doesn't recognize the spark. I chamged pc, cable and version of assistant but nothing.. The pc, recognize the spark like an usb mass storage but, the programm assistant no.
Help me please!

reinstall assistant , it worked for me

Video Lag and serious disconnection issues after firmware update.  I think i want to revert back to previous version is that possible?

Update worked for GPS dropouts and controller dropouts but used a "on the go" cable to link my Samsung s8+ instead of using wifi this is not working with the new  firmware
