Hi,

Has anyone tried charging their Spark with one of these battery banks that are often used to charge smartphones/tablets?
I'm currently using this Anker Power Bank Astro E1 5200mAh Ultra Compact: Amazon.co.uk ... to charge my Spark.
It's been on charge for 50 minutes so far and is currently showing up to 2 flashing charging leds.

you may want to get something like a 20000 mah bank, one with a 2 or more amp output port, it would charge pretty fast with this. yours probably only has a 1 amp port so it will take twice as long to charge your battery.

To follow up, my battery bank charger is 5200mAh which intelligently delivers 2 amps.
The Spark was completely flat at the beginning of this experiment.
After 1hr 30 mins and Anker battery bank ran out of juice and died. It managed to get the Spark to 80% charge.

A slightly larger capacity battery bank would have done the trick nicely.

Handy to know for those of us who would like to charge their Spark without a mains supply.

Honestly you cannot beat it, its 20000 capacity, enough to charge my iPhone 8 times and will charge 10 spark batteries. well worth £20

Yes you can charge the spark with a power bank, I'm doing it right now as I type.

You guys are getting miss-leaded . The capisety is 20k mAh and spark is 1400mAh BUT! the spark is 3s lipo and the power-bank is 1s lipo so take in mind  that to charge 3s lipo it takes about x3 the capacity.

You are correct.... this power bank http://amzn.to/2shhy03 will charge the spark around 2 times

i wonder if there will be an adapter for charging battery from powerbank out of the spark .For example when flying on second battery . AND if QuickCharge will take effect in fast charging the battery.

Is there a way to charge a Spark battery via USB when it's not connect to the Spark?
I'm waiting on my Fly More Combo to be shipped and would like to be able to charge one battery (whilst out and about) while flying the Spark.

Is this confirmation that Spark supports QC3.0 ? Because no where is it officially stated that it supports the QC3.0 standard.

Recently, the battery can be charged by USB cable when inserted into aircraft or through charger.  While it will be able to be charged when it's not connect to Spark or charger in near future, please keep an eye on our website, we'll update it once it's available, thank you for your support!
