If u look in the comments of that video someone told him he was wrong  OTG does work with iPhone and shows the rc icon instead of the wifi icon once wifi is off

Hmm...I don't believe that the Spark utilizes the occusync technology

Spark uses Wifi. This was confirmed by a number of DJI staff members on the official DJI Support page on facebook

he is right, my range is not good at all like 60m then no video then no signal....with the controller and cable.....DJI please fix the latency and range !!!!!

OTG not needed, this works with remote and iphone/ipad.... still getting some video reception loss though at 60+ meters standing behind trees...

I heard that some of them are not working!

I've connected my iPhone 7 through the cable. It worked for a while and then disconnected. Once it disconnected you have to manually land and restart. I eventually gave up

Hi all,

So I got the correct cable and adapter for my iPhone 7.  It connects to the RC and device just fine.  The problem is that I can't fly more than 100 ft. away.  Once I reach 100 ft. the RC informs me that I've reached the distance limit.  I checked the altitude limit and it's set at 120 meters, which is 400 ft. so why is it telling me I can't fly farther than that?  If I disconnect the cable and adapter, and fly it again with a wifi connection to the RC, I get normal flight again and can go beyond 100 ft..  Anyone know why this is happening?

This is the case don't know why others are not mentioning it. Trade off.

I'm surprised nobody has asked the looming question with this solution:

How do you clamp your phone into the remote with the obtrusive cable protruding from the bottom of your phone??

I had a micro usb to USB adapter and connected that to my RC then connected the USB to lightning cable that came with my IPAD to complete the circuit and it worked great. I still need to test it more but so far so good. I did order the cable mentioned above from Amazon and will try it tomorrow night after it arrives. Fingers crossed.
