My Fly More Combo should be arriving in the next couple of days and after reading through the manual I gather that the two setup configurationsare (1) phone connected directly to spark and (2) phone connected to controller and controller connected to spark.  Is the combo shippd with the controller bound to the spark and, if so, do you need to unbind it and connect the phone to the spark in order to activate it?

My combo arrived WITH the controller already bound to the Spark.  There is NO need to unbind it, the RC uses its own WIFI

There is no need to unbind the remote and aircraft.
Since you purchased the combo, please turn on them, then connect Remote WiFi, run DJI GO 4 and activate it as the instruction on screen, it will be fine.
