I was inspecting my camera mount today when I noticed that after only 10 flight sessions my rubber gasket was showing some wear. I will surely keep an eye on it and treat it with extra care but it seems a good argument for keeping the gimbal attached whenever possible and only removing the camera when necessary. Either way this puppy aint going to last long no matter how much it's cared for. Has anyone else noticed this? Would adding a tiny amount of silicone to the rubber gasket be a good idea? Thoughts, Ed, Blade, anyone?

Send this photo to DJI support for a replacement and share your experience. I do not have enough time on my inspire at this point, but I will keep an eye on this.

Hey Doug,

Understood, I was thinking if this is a part that wears out from taking the gimbal off over and over... and user replaceable, then DJI should make this available for all of us.

i try NOT to take out my camera too often

I would be careful mixing silicone and electronics ... Contact surfaces will get infected with poor or none conductivity as a result ! The silicone could even "travel", infecting your battery connectors ... That would be very bad!

I wouldnt even store a silicone bottle in the same room as my bird !
