Dji Spark arriving today and wanted to know if anyone out there has any experience with flying spark via Litchi app in VR mode? Is this possible? App says only supports Mavic etc but not sure if anyone out there has tried.

Because the Spark is having a multitude of other issues, thus adding a 3rd party app surely won't help.

If you try connecting litchi to spark, the camera will show up, however, you cannot takeoff. I tried to work around this with a palm launch, but if you try to control it with Litchi after that, it will fly away. I got lucky, I grabbed mine before it got too far.

I like the way you think!  I'm enjoying what I've got - and hoping for "sound" updates from DJI that will improve it.  Adding in 3rd party variables isn't likely a good idea.

DJI has released the open SDK so I'd imagine litchi is hard at work as we speak.Hopefully 3rd party apps will be out soon,
You can search the forums you will find very few serious problems using litchi app.

I can report that FPV is working great, but I use the 3D FPV app, not Litchi.  

I was thrilled at the results.

I've tested it. The sticks work so you can do basic maneuvering. Pretty much nothing else, none of the advanced modes and none of the buttons like record start/stop, take a photo, C1, C2, etc.

It'd be nice if Litchi supported the Spark.

i have installed the app, yesterday, im yet to test it.. il do a testing tomorrow and will update this thread.

Iv used the litchi app in VR mode works great plus you dont need a lead going to your phone...all wifi

not to mention warranty will probably be void if it crashes using a 3rd party app

following..

i was late from office and couldn't fly out doors, but i did a take off indoors with atti mode. no GPS lock inside my home.  i put litchi on VR mode.. surprisingly the gimbal responded to my head tilt!! i will take it outside tomorrow and share my out doors experience..
