Does anyone have a way to test a new setup?  A tether or something.  My S1000 was working fine with Lightbridge 1, and A2 controller.  Couldn't leave it alone....RIGHT!  Upgraded to A3 and Lightbridge 2.  First flight, immediate flip.  Got out with some scuffed props and a broken GPS mast.  So, its go time again.  Would like to avoid a repeat.  Any ideas?

Flip is caused due to the following
1- wrong orientation of IMU, compass or both.
2- wrong offset values in x y z axis for imu,compass or both.
3- wrong direction of motors.
4- wrong pwm connection of esc.

3 and 4 can be verified by running motors without props following the steps below
1-set the mode as manual
2- unlock the motors by performing combination stick command csc
3- while being in manual mode push throttle stick to almost 20%
4- move navigation stick for forward/backward,right/left to right most position and observe the speed of the motors. The motor 1 and 4 will slow down if the motor direction is correct.
5- now move the stick to left most position now motor 2 and 3 will slow down.  

Yes, I would say the absolute safest way to do an initial test is without the props on first and listen for any discrepancies.
