Is it possible to  change the RTH height during flight.  Let's say I thought 30 m was high enough and then I need to change to 50m to ensure that I can clear the trees to safely land after take off, is it possible, tks.

I am not sure, but i think that it's possibile. Try to take off and then go to the rth height option. I set my rth height to 80 meters and this values cover pretty much every situation

From my understanding you should be able to too through the menu, like you usually would, and change it to whatever you desire. Im lucky. Florida is superrr flat. 30 meters usually clears everything haha!

Avoid the headache and just set it higher before you even fly.
I have mine set for 100 feet because where I live there are no buildings or trees that high.
If you do, set it higher before you even fly.

Yes .. it's possible.
You also have the ability to use your left joystick during RTH to vary your altitude as well.

But palm trees which can reach heights over 100 feet

I run into the same problem here, thought 100 feet would be higher than the trees around me and found some that are a little taller than that, so what i have done is look around the area i fly in and find what i believe to be the tallest object then fly my drone next to it, with the camera aimed at it, up to the height at which i can see over that object with the camera tilted slightly down, hover check your height on the app, set your RTH accordingly

As long as you are connected to the aircraft you can alter the RTH altitude in flight.

Yes you can alter it during flight, no problem at all. I set mine to 30 meters, and during flight I changed it to 50 meters. When I activated RTH. The altitude read 163 feet. Very close to 50 meters.

Yes, just don't go over the heighth you have set for your maximum altitude. I just leave my RTH altitude at 60 m and forget.
