When the spark is connected to your remote controller, it says the max transmission range is 1.2 miles. But I’m hearing from other people that the max range is 1.2 miles from the home/takeoff point NOT from the physical controller itself...does anyone know which one it is? Or if this setting can be changed?

I have heard bad reports from these. You tube videos showing the Mavic not using and using these. Range seems to be worse using! Need a full antenna upgrade like Titan Control or MaxxUAV.

They never worked for me on my Mavic

My record so far is 2025 meters away from the controller.

And regarding the parabolic range extenders,
THEY DO WORK!
I get longer range (+15/20%) and rock solid signal in high WiFi interference areas.
I’m very satisfied with them!

Also it’s possible that on Mavic Pro they don’t make such a big difference because it already has OcuSync, but the work very well on sparks WiFi signal.
