Having a issue with rth. Have tried on several occasions now. Having set rth and then activate it Spark just attempts to land  and I have to abort landing. Have recalibrate imu and compass to no avail

I think if it's within a certain proximity to the home point it'll land where it is - details are in the app I think; certainly in the instructions.  Mine has certainly done that in the past.  When it's been far out it always flies back.

that's correct - but it's a stupid limit since a beginner using a phone as controller is likely to be operating within that distance.

Just ignore what Dirk52 said he should read the manual himself before commenting.

If you flying within 3m to 20m you can set RTH at same altitude but you must enable in your app, your AC will if you hit RTH within this distance stay at its current height and return home and land, it will do the same if you reach low battery.

If you don't have this enabled it will just land.

It's not stupid if you enable RTH to fly home at its present height in your app that's what will happen within 3m to 20m
