Ive just started using the assistant 2 and using assistant 2 and using latest version. My question is how are the batteries updated in firmware 9 the latest release from a day or so back.. as i am inserting the batteries in the mavic powering on and  mavic pops up in A2 but its saying uptodate and not wanting to do batteries is their an update with this firmware for the batteries or do i need to ignore it for now ? my controller, goggles, and mavic are all up todate... it's the batteries im concerned about..

I updated from 2 generations - and had to update my batteries

So first updated Mavic - then rebooted - and then I think it gave a version mismatch and then updated the battery.

Then I plugged in my other batteries - one after the other it gave version mismatch and then upgraded batteries.

I'm not seeing miss match so not sure if batteries need doing

It will update battery when you start aircraft and open app if it needs doing, so if it doesn't say firmware needs updating your battery is ok, you can check this from home, just pop each battery in and open the app.

So it won't tell me in Assistant 2 I have to put it through the app to see if it's needed ?

It's sometimes the easiest way it takes only a few minutes.

I never use the Ass2.

Everything thru the app. As Hall said if it needs to it will show up on the GO4 APP.

Ok thanks guys I'll go back to the app my only concern is the app on the last update froze so thought I'd try the A2

I have always updated through Assistant 2 and have never seen it update the batteries.  My batteries have been updated at least 3 time and always independent of the assistant program with just the aircraft, controller and GO4
