NO! FAA registration was struck down several weeks ago. It can't hurt to register, but it's not required. Just good, common sense and a general knowledge of the rules of flying.
It is a good idea to put at least your phone number on your Drone should the worst case happen and you lose it.
IF you elect to register your self with the FAA go to the official .gov site - it's a $5.00 fee and your registration is good for 3 years. There are a number of other sites who will register your Drone for you BUT they will charge you $25.00 to $40.00 to do it. As I said, it's now voluntary - you don't have to - but if you do, don't pay some service 5 to 8 times what the government wants to do it.
