here are some very useful suggestions for beginners (read before you fly!).

BUT ALSO I RECOMMEND THAT IF YOU ARE USING YOUR PHONE TO CONTROL THE DRONE, EVEN  BEFORE YOU TAKE OFF, YOU FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE STABILITY OF YOUR CONNECTION. YOU DO NOT WANT TO LOSE THE CONNECTION DURING FLIGHT BECAUSE THE SPARK WILL DESCEND ON ITS OWN POSSIBLY INTO A TREE OR WATER. AFTER ESTABLISHING A CONNECTION WITH THE SPARK ON THE GROUND, YOU SHOULD SLOWLY WALK AWAY FROM IT. AT A CERTAIN DISTANCE ( PERHAPS ONLY 40 FEET)  YOU WILL SEE 'POOR RADIO SIGNAL'. IF YOU KEEP WALKING YOU WILL LOSE THE SIGNAL THEN THE CONNECTION. IT'S MUCH BETTER TO DO THIS WITH THE DRONE ON THE GROUND RATHER THAN IN THE AIR. NOW WALK BACK TOWARDS THE DRONE. WITH LUCK YOU WILL REGAIN THE CONNECTION. BUT PERHAPS NOT - YOUR PHONE MIGHT CONNECT TO SOME OTHER WIFI SIGNAL OR NOT ALL - READ https://forum.dji.com/thread-100550-1-1.html TO SEE WHY. DAVEJO RECOMMENDS THAT YOU ALWAYS CONNECT VIA 2 GHZ NOT 5 GHZ. I ALSO TURN OFF ALL MY OTHER WIFI SIGNALS ROUTERS ETC). IF THE PHONE SAYS 'NO INTERNET' TELL IT TO REMAIN CONNECTED TO SPARK, AND NOT TO REPEAT THAT MESSAGE. NOTE THAT IF YOU CANNOT REGAIN THE CONNECTION DURING FLIGHT (EG BY WALKING CLOSER TO THE DRONE OR HOLDING YOUR PHONE IN THE AIR, OR BOTH), AND THE DRONE IS LESS THAN 60 FEET AWAY FROM YOU, IT WILL TRY TO LAND BY ITSELF, DESCENDING VERTICALLY. IT WILL ONLY DO AN AUTOMATIC RETURN TO HOME IF IT'S MORE THAN 100 FEET AWAY.

YOUR KEYBOARD MUST BE DEFECTIVE?!?

Spark will also come back to HP when you enable "rth at current height" within a 20m radius to the HP.
Maybe you should read the manual before you give wrong recommendations.

You seem a bit mixed up here your talking about phone to AC wifi, but while still talking about phone , you begin to mention 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz these have nothing to do with phone to drone connection.

Sure they have something do to with it.
You can select how to connect to drone...

For one who reads the manual so much maybe you could have given this guy the same information.

How do you figure your phone connects to AC by radio wave ? It connects by wifi. Your RC uses 2.4 or 5.8 ghz

What are you talking about?

What I meant was the connection from phone to AC is through wifi, you have to select the radio frequency i.e. 2.4 or 5.8, but some phones are not set up for 5.8 i.e. iPhone 7 so this is obviously auto.

He is talking about the 5ghz wifi. Not 5.8ghz.
Two total different things.
And you can select in dji go App which ghz you would like to use for controlling the spark via wifi without rc.
