I've noticed that basically the current aftermarket sunshade hoods all do not work very well at all at sun flares (which is what they are used for!).

Just saw this "NEW DESIGN: Anti-Glare Sunshade Camera Hood Protector"; available on amazzzon...

Has anyone seen how this new design performs???

Not sure if the curved piece is just for aerodynamics or if it actually is key to preventing light flares???   Anyone also have any suggestion for a good polarized filter (single filter, not a full kit) that is good price?

Im yousing filters and these are fine for glare.
For gimbal protection I'm using that same cover but not that hood. Still when Flying I sometimes get protectos edge on the side of screen. If you are not using filters then it's good choice but still it's holding off only sun flare from above and not from surfaces.

EDIT: Using only DJI filters because of their size and they still hold up good over 2,5 months now, still haven't broken their locking tabs.
