Is there any way this could be the USB port on the controller? I have seen many people lose video, and replacing that board fixes the problem.

quick question to the OP as I'm having similar issues.

1. does the video link permanently not work, or does it try and refresh and you get either a half screen or full screen of frozen video every now and again?
2. do you always have your S7 close by when your flying or trying to fly?

Not when he has the "device not connected " on lines 0800 and 1500 of the Aircraft log from the SD card .

Good question though.

Also you will rarely have no video on the RC transmitter without there being other problems as well.  If you have just NO  LIVE video and everything else is working , you get all the data and can take pics and video to the SD card then it is almost always the camera Encoder failure .

Thanks for the reply's guys -yes all my machines work perfectly except like Donnie mentioned no transmission.

I have three machine an Inspire and two P3P but one of the P3P's is intermittent in that every 4-5 startup's it might come on for a few seconds then die. I suspect its heat related and these output finals have cooked them selves. The output board on the P3P's is housed in the downward sensor case and there is a tiny fan that blows on the output video board.

Mindy if you're monitoring this thread could you please contact me regarding the correct board part number for the Phantom 3 Pro's video output board.   I was under the assumption it is part #124, but this board only has two antenna connections where mine has 4 connections.  

Also, If I return the Inspire 1 will it be covered under warranty these are all over a year old now.

Mike, I'm sorry that the problem persists. I have given my suggestions about Inspire 1. Please send in the drone for thorough evaluation and flight test. Here is the link to apply online repair: https://repair.dji.com/en/SelfRepair/Area
The repair will be charged if the drone had been out of warranty period.

For Phantom 3 Professional, have you updated the firmware to the latest version?
How bout exchanging the RC? Will the image restored?
Have you check the FPS cable, is it damaged?
The cable above the gimbal can be reinserted.
Please do the basic troubleshooting.

Mindy thanks for the reply - I have tried everything possible -there is no communication as show below in the hidden files.

This is just a "Few" of the different options I’ve tried with no luck or change.

Tried three different transmitters
Changed 3 Batteries
Changed the micro chips
Unplugged and re-plgged all the connectors
Cleaned all the connections
Re-installed the same firmware on machine
Install latest Firmware on machine
Re-Installed latest firmware on the transmitter
Re-installed the Go App
Tried 2 different iPad Mini’s
Try iPhone 6 +
Try a Samsung S7
Remove the camera and cleaned all the contacts
Try countless different combinations on the app i.e. 4K, 1080 decoding, etc.
Removed all plugs and inspected on all gimbals.

There is no communication to 0800 and 15 00 I think that eliminates a firmware or common problem.  The odds of all three machine all having the same exact problem within the same week is a million to 1. All these machines were bought at the same time period and they all failed together.  The down link board is poorly designed and/or is suffering from heat problems.

Regarding the repair - if one machine failed then I would accept responsibility but to have three drones fail in one week clearly shows this is a factory defect. This combined with hundreds of others with the same exact problem clearly shows the components were manufactured defective or do not have sufficient cooling.

Consider my cost to ship three drones with full insurance then have to pay a $400-600 charge each, this repair would cost over $2000, which is not acceptable, I did not abuse or crash this equipment therefore  should not be responsible for these repairs.

Could you please consult with your supervisors regarding this matter. Regardless of the fact I have been a loyal user since day 1 and directed countless agencies to DJI for their financial gain, it appears that the years I spent promoting this company, is not even worthy of a response on this thread.  

Since I'm not going to get any assistance with regard to the major cost of shipping / insurance and repair of my three machine which all fell victim to a manufacturing fault and the "No Image Transmission" syndrome,  could you at least  contact your tech department to find out the correct "Video Output Board" for my Phantom 3 Pro's so I can purchase the board(s) and install them myself.

I previousely went to the DJI parts site and ordered board they showed to be correct; Part #124 however the board they sent me differs from the one in my P3P's - mine have 4 four antenna connections and the one they sent in error only has two antenna connections.

I'll hopefully look forward to your immidiate response - Mike

I feel bad for you Mike.  A lot of us have been supporting DJI products and the forum over the years.  Unfortunately the Inspire 1 should go back to the DJI Shop for reprogramming or encoder replacement. As for the other 2 drones, I cannot say because the FW updates do not give you the hidden log file to review.

Thanks for the reply and sympathy!

I'm really disappointed with DJI and the Moderators of this forum since for now almost 2 months they have for the most part avoided this post. I refuse to accept the financial responsibility to ship and insure three expensive drones combined with repair cost which I would estimate could run around $2000, on a well documented problem that is a result of faulty design / firmware and widespread through the DJI community. I’m presently sitting there with close to $6000 of equipment grounded.

Regretfully, This “after the sale” problem is typical business as usual for DJI. Regardless of the massive revenue they make here in the U.S., they won’t spend a dime to improve the worst warranty service in the model industry. They have no regard for their customers inconvenience, problems or concerns.

Frankly I think it's an app issue, I get it from time to time but (keeping fingers crossed) usually clears up generally comes back sporadically once I'm in the air, but has yet to keep me from taking off, this in addition to the flurry of motor overloaded, wifi interference etc etc warnings have made me a bit "brave" and when I just disregard and go on I can usually complete a flight, though not relaxing really. I've gone to the extreme of installing a Titan antenna system , but I still get all the issues on practically every flight. Generally first battery pretty much keeps me from going very far, for some reason second battery is virtually faultless. All these little issues have kept me from buying another DJI product as I've found reading around that there is no such thing as a carefree DJI Copter.
