What are you guys getting as far as flying speed not in sport mode? My spark flies around extremely slow...like 4-5mph slow, is that normal flight speed?

Where are these settings located? Is this the remote controller calibration?

I don’t think the Spark has rate settings. The slow speeds are due to opstical avoidance. Turn that off for more speed with stabilization. It turns off automatically for apart mode.

Is there a way to increase the speed slightly? 4-5 mph is pretty slow, esp in higher wind.
I'm looking for a happy medium, not 30 mph that the sport mode is in, but faster than 4-5 mph.

Not sure I understand on setting speed.  I thought that speed would be limited based on connected device.  example the limited speed of flying with Aoo = 10km/hr, RC = 20km/hr and RC+Sport = 50+km/hr  Now these numbers might not be accurate but didn't think you could set max speed.

The other factor is if you are not logged into your DJI Account, you are limited to 'Beginner Mode'

Usually 13mph with RC in non sports mode. Up to 33mph in sports mode

Don't know if speed is lower without RC

I regularly get ~49 km/h and today I got over 51 km/h (no wind) with the prop guards off (although they don't seem to make much of a difference with regard to speed).

Note that you must switch into Sport mode for each power up/take off. I have found that if my controller is set to Sport mode when I take off then I need to switch it out and back in again to actually get into Sport mode.

One more thing... do you have a Remote Controller?

If you're only using the the phone (no RC) your speed will be limited as you describe.
