If you have a Sony Xperia, Samsung or Apple or other under 6″ mobile phone then this easy to make shade all you need is a A3 size piece of black card or thin PVC sheet to make this.
  

I have plenty of Depron - being a scratch build modeller. 3mm black folded / glued made mine ...

I tried a commercial one supposed designed for my Nexus ... had hole for on/off button in wrong place ....

But at end of day - I stopped using as they needed to be so big to do any good ...

Depron?  What is it and where do you get it?

Make it in cardboard first so that any alterations you need to make to suit your particular tablet/phone is catered for, before using a more expensive material.

Depron is sheet foam insulation we use to build airplane models in. It comes in 2, 3, 6, 9 and 12mm thickness large sheets for under floor / wall fitting in house builds. It has a denser form than normal EPS foam which just crumbles ...

My mobile shade - use black pvc sheet, or corex or card. Print onto 2 A4 sheets of paper at 100% to get correct size.
