I have searched everywhere for a custom landing gear that looks cool, is lightweight, and easy to install for the F550. I have gone through 3 different retracts that were a complete joke, they were completelty unsteady when resting on firm surface. Now i am using a very simple landing gear that i got from Maniacs Hobby which is working great. Dont remember the name of the landing gear but here's a pic.

I wish I knew about you when I got mine. You are about $35.00 cheaper. And yes they are the best landing gear.

the problem i have had with all three retractable landing gears that i have used so far (nothing that is shown here on this page) is that they have all been very unstable when resting on flat surface. There seems to always be a small amount of movement in the retractable landing gear mechanism that does not allow for the normal stability you would expect. The copter will move side to side if you touch it and test its stability. One of the stores that i called to ask them about it they told me it is just the normal "play" in the gear itself. Well that may be normal for the gear but it is definitely undesirable when used with a helicopter or multirotor.

Tbh.. I have tried most. I always go back to the dji legs. They are very light. Just what you want on these small craft.

Try hml 650 works great

i would highly recommend the aeroxcraft also...great product and great crowd to deal with.
