So aside from the well documented shortcomings: flight time, speed and range of the vehicle sans RC and the Pilot interface in the Go app is simply absurd, I'm convinced that taking the Spark over the MavikPro was ideal from the context of portability, simultaneous camera operation during manual control, and 4K video capture is overrated and 4K video editing on mobile devices for an output that almost no one will watch on a 4K screen unless you are shooting for a production that actually has a budget...which is almost no one.
While I haven't entertained using the gesture controls....the intelligent flight modes work solid once you become cognizant of the delta between your visual perception of range to subject and the sensors video output on the mobile device while triangulated.
It's been a while since I've owned a drone. The last 2 I had were Parrot AR quads. While they aren't quality vehicles...you have to give the UI engineers props for putting the mobile device gyro as a flight control. I think DJI really missed a great opportunity to put a gifted sensor somewhere other than gimbal.
Other than that...Spark is one hell of a bird for the price. Straight forward instruction manual, minimal set-up time, minimal frustration (found the restricted zone unlocker within an hour of my second flight.

Youtube doesn’t do the footage justice. It was a 500M binary, but the 1080p should be done by now. Maybe Vimeo will help
