I have flown my Spark for a couple of weeks now.  After reading others' experiences, I was reluctant to try Gesture Mode.  Today I finally tried it for the first time.  To my amazement it worked great.  I tried palm launch, palm control and palm land.  I was a bit nervous, but they all worked.  Love this little drone.

Tried gesture mode and it worked for me. One relative tried it and somehow got the drone to idle in their hand, but not turn off. After a precarious hand-off so the drone would be holding me captive instead, I managed to turn it off by flipping it upside down. You have to hold on tight when you do this. I had the phone app running but the off button on the app would not work.
