Anyone use one of these? As you can see in my pic I ecounter those lines quite a bit, it's sunny in Florida and unavoidable. Would this hood eliminate these lines? I'm guessing it's the sun reflecting off the props?

I was thinking maybe adding weight to the camera itself might not be such a good idea, might stress it out too much.

The one I have is counter balanced behind the camera also.

Can you please share a link to the one you have Gerry? I have been thinking about getting one but have not because it would cause the camera and gimbal to be unbalanced.

Look on Shapeways.com. There are a number there. This idea would work for the Vision.

You could always rap a bit of tape around it so it overhangs the top front edge of the camera lens

but you need to be sure to trim it since it will appear in the frame due to the wide angle of the lens

Indeed, but it's the same with any mechanical solution

A lens hood is a must have. I purchased one from him as well, works just fine
