Is someone knows if there is a way to format the P4 and perform a clean firmware installation? Maybe a fresh install is the way to go instead doing upgrade/refresh...

Although the problem I am seeing is more subtle than what Moshe is seeing, it is still brand new to this update.  The drone "bucks" once in a while. Here is a 60 second video which shows the problem with the bucking of the P4 after successfully completing all update, IMU and Compass calibrations, etc.

Hello DJI .

My Phantom 4 have been flying over 240 Km , 21 hours in 120 flights without any problems . Then I upgraded too latest software and now it flyes like crap., so please make it possible to downgrade software or repair the new software so i can fly my  old phantom 4 again .

I am also ready to try the beta version thanks

i got same issue on my P4 standard...
i got woble on hover....
always get strong intervernt and strong wind velocity warning...
but the big thing issue is my gimbal sudenly shutdown in mid air..and get normal when restart the AC...i got this three time on this week...

How did you get the option to downgrade?

I write it in my previous post and give link to drone, RC, googles firmware utility. Before make downgrade do not forget to make your drone backup for any case.

Sam here. When I press forward stick it jumps forward, hard and fast.

There is no using this drone for commercial work, ever. DJI has caused me more issues than they solved. DJI has tarnished my reputation for the last time. I'm going on my third iPad purchase because DJI can't announce the next firmware update with kill your connection. The list goes on and on.

Goodbye dJI.

Just download firmware utility. Connect your drone to PC (with windows OS) Make your original firmware backup for any case (use backup firmware button). Then press "load" to load firmware .bin file you need (can download here https://github.com/MAVProxyUser/dji_system.bin). Then press "flash" button and wait (aprox 10-15min) till drone will restart and led light stop flashing red/green. Assistant2 at this process must be off. Battery also will update to an older version. Please do not remember that you do it for you own risk. And yes, first step make you original firmware, then you always will have possibility to return all original.

You better do it fast because DJI is having all these previous firmware versions removed all over the internet. They do not want you downgrading under any circumstances.

It is not possible to remoove this versions because so much peoples alredy download them. And also now we can make firmware backup from any drone.

PS: once you will downgrade to older version you will lost some new function like draw and tripod ofcourse but you can fly again.

it is shame for DJI engineers, tech support, as they was not able to give us downgrade options, they producing nice birds but support is awful. Now in middle of summer i can fly again

My antivirus kicks the download of DumLdore as a Virus.

Antivirus always block lot of programs. For me this utility is safe and fine.

Fw 01.02.06.02 - don't work sensors, PH4 with a failure flies up, the usual mode doesn't differ from the mode sport, but motors work exactly and there are no jumps, PH4 long is switched off - so it is not option too.

Damnit DJI!  Listen to your thousands of customers and reinstate the roll back!  You've got people losing money and unable to use their drones!  This will cost you future new customers and past customers who would normally upgrade to a newer bird!  Take care of your customers!!!  It's business 101!

This here just proves my point that dji is forcing people to do exactly what they are trying to prevent us from doing which is using hacked software. I imagine the firmware downloaded probably has geo fencing, altitude limit, and other dji restrictions removed. It could be a pre hacked backup but it could very well be a hacked backup. No rollback is forcing us to do what dji is trying to prevent. Good job DJI. You just forced thousands of people to use hacked firmware due to your lack of action.

Good job, Icer.  You are a true hero!

I will never install a DJI firmware update on my P4 ever again.  Whatever sneaky crap was in this latest version was so important (to DJI) that DJI was willing to lose customers over it, rather than letting us downgrade.  Whatever that top-secret important stuff was, I'm sure I don't want it!

And I am now reconsidering my next drone purchase.  I knew DJI's software side of the business s*cked before, but this latest stunt takes the cake.

I just got a replacement refurb p4. I did not update it or the controller. It has the firmware that came on it. It flies beautifully. Is that what you are saying you want?

Ok, I will. Give me a little while to do it. I have to use my wifes laptop. Mine is running linux so I cant do it with mine. As soon as she gets done using hers Ill install DUMLdore and pull the firmware off of it.

Yes! exactly! Please, make your firmware backup by using tool that i link before (https://mega.nz/#!nJcAUICR!3OWhm ... zpovIqo_6In3VnHXu5M).
Download tool and extract it in some folder. Then connect your P4 to PC. Start file "DUMLdore.exe" . Then select "aircraft" and press button "backup firmware". Backup is very fast 1-2 min.
In folder you will see new file "dji_system.bin". Please share this file to be able download it. Then i will get it, i flash my P4 drone with it and write feedback is it all ok. If all is great, i will share you file together with flash utility to give possibility for EVERY ONE to downgrade his P4 to well worked firmware. Thank you.
