I’ve always wanted a Drone and bought the Spark because it looked easily to fly and assumed its for the inexperienced.

Anyhow, took it to the park and had Active track on with collision detectors and it hit a tree as I was walking.

It fell down and had a broken motor holder thing. See images.

Quite disappointed, shouldn’t the collision deflectors work? I ordered another 2 sparks for my family which I’ve just cancelled.

How much do you think this would cost roughly? In the UK? Do you think the collision thing should have worked instead of hitting a tree?

I can't see the image. However yeah, the OA usually pretty good unless if the obstacle is really thin like small branches or electrical wires. Do not depend on it too much.

qsdrone, we are sorry to hear the mishap, the pictures you provided are not available. Like Lok said, 3D sensing and vision system performance will be affected if you fly over small and fine objects like tree branches and power lines.

Why would you be using active track around trees?  This is 100% user error.
