for NOW that's NORMAL, read the forum you will see . WE wait for update. It's because the spark using dual-band WiFi and 5.8 Ghz is not compatible with European standard....

5.8 GHz Not compatible with EU? I have plenty of devices on that band here in Switzerland, a wifi router, a breeze drone (5.8 only) a personal cloud also on 5.8
Actually i have 2 wifi at home, on on 2.4 the other one on 5.8 both working perfectly

Its not the whole 5.8 band. Its the DFS channels that are not discoverable by android phones in Europe.

Heres the whole thread dedicated to the issue:

From what I know channels that they are using on 5.8 are not available in EU. That's why 5.8 doesn't work.

Thanks for pointing me to that thread. And you are completely correct regarding the DFS channels.
I just wanted to make clear that the 5.8 GHz range is working in Europe also. It seems that Yuneec did a better job as the Breeze is 5.8 only and i can use it without problem on my Nvidia K1. So sadly again DJI did a mess there.
I have to add that that problem is again an Android only problem. iPhone and IPads are connecting directly on the spark 5.8 Band. Channel used is 149 on my device (IPhone)

I'm in the UK, still part of EU for now! The spark RC always connects using 5.8Ghz, I would rather use 2.4Ghz out in the countryside but it always switches back to 5.8Ghz. I have a UK iPhone 7.

Same here, Spark automatically connect to the 5.8Ghz. I also prefer to be on 2.4Ghz when flying outside. Only way i found so far on iPhone was to hold the power button on the spark until you hear 3 beeps, then the spark should switch his channel.
Switzerland even if in Europe, we are not EU member ;-)
