My drone is at like 5m and it stops climbing, with the maximum altitude reached thing screaming. I had it set to 120m max but it screamed at 5 meters... then I decided to push it to 500, it climbed another meter or so and warning popped again...

Is there anything wrong with it? I kinda accidentally dropped it on wooden floor from knee level (was carrying it clumsily). Could anything have spoiled?... It's a brand new drone, it shouldn't be so fragile right?

Flying with RC, beginner mode turned off. To make sure it's really off, I even turn it on and turn it off again.

Mine did the same thing and beginner mode was off. Any ideas?

I had no GPS signal too

You are in ATTI Mode.
8 meters max with ATTI (no GPS).
If you turn off OA then you may get 30m in ATTI

Did the problem still exist?  Please check the error message from the app and provide a screenshot to us. Thanks.
