Firmware updates for Spark are being released at an absured rate.   In the last week, on two days, four versions were released on a single day!
Anyone at DJI care to comment?

I now understand why, see through the comments below.

Hopefully the latest one of those fixes the dronie issue and more!

Maybe it is because of „internal“ type of fw?

I haven't had one. When I sign on the DJI Go4 it says I have the latest version. Wonder why?

No updates here as well via DJI Go 4. I checked spark website and last firmware update + release notes are from 6/6/2017. Any info on these firmwares ??

The last "official" firmware is v01.00.400 issued on 2017-06-16 which I was using.  I get the firmware list in the above image when I connect my Spark to a computer running  DJI assistant 2.

The Go4 app is always nagging me to update.

The release notes have never said what is changed in the firmware.

I'd rather have more frequent updates, but like several above, mine appears to be up to date...also would like to see what is being addressed and fixed.

When I switch to Official  I only see the two Official firmware versions.
I was using the last  "official" firmware is v01.00.400 issued on 2017-06-16 but the GO4 app always has a nag on the start screen to update the firmware.

OK a slight correction, only the "official" firmware releases have info in the release note link, however ALL of the Internal firmware releases have no information.

I cant even see the internal versions, just the official. Not that I am disappointed by this...

How do you enable those "internal" firmwares ?
When I select "all" or "internal", still only official ones are displayed.

Internal updates mean they are for DJI staff.  Anyone outside of DJI will not be able to access them.

that seems reasonable...
At least, this screenshot if real means that things are moving on as regards firmware.

For us impatient pilots (are we ?)  some more official news from DJI about "official known issues", issues adressed in upcoming version and expected release schedule would be really welcome.

Yeah, I really thought they'd have released another firmware update by now to at lease squash a few bugs.

Doesn't seem like the op is internal to DJI when he is asking for comments from them. Maybe when he gets back on he'll let us know how he get to that.

From the comments above I have deduced what is taking place.  I have been a beta tester for the Phantom 3 Pro, Mavic and Phantom 4.  I use the same login for the beta site and GO4 app.  I guess this is why I can see the internal firmware releases.  I have not sign up for any Spark beta testing but I guess I have been doing it without knowing it.  So far I have not run into any issues.

Yes, this will be the reason why you see the internal fw.

You need the latest version of assistant to receive updates, I understand there are many new bees on here, just trying to help.

hopefully we see a new firmware update soon that fixes the dronie and helix modes.

The update is an internal one. So only for Beta Tester. There is no connection to the version of the assistant 2 version. If you read everything you should know that..
(If you want to help, learn how electricity works and post in the others threads about charging time and chargers something useful that isn’t a lie)

Oh that's right, your just a student pilot so it's ok to not know how to do beta updates.

Good to see new beta releases in the works. Please report any improvement or bug fixes you have noticed!

None yet. He is a beta tester and didn't know it so they are for DJI testers only. Retail users only see official releases.

In your Go4 app pause after selecting the Spark.  After it says Go Fly in the bottom right there will be a flag in the top left indicating the status of your firmware.  If is says new firmware available use the Assistant 2 to do the upgrade.  Its much faster than using the Go App.

Here's a question related. I downloaded assistance 2. Watched a Spark tutorial on how to download firmware with Asst2. When I connect my Spark to my PC nothing happens. The Home Screen remains. Nver seems to recognize the 'Spark.' I just sit on the Asst2 Home Page. I did notice when I plugged in the USB to PC it said something about 'no digital signature certificate'

Is there a way to reinstall the firmware on my RC. I am running the most recent firmware, but it seems buggy.

I've tried the new firmware, don't upgrade if you use OTG cable.

I won't be upgrading the controller or Spark.  Sticking to the Official versions.

Does this suggest that they are considering removing the ability to use the OTG cable in a future firmware update, or do you think this is a bug in the beta you've tried?

I love my Spark, but I would have returned it if not for the OTG cable option.  It works so much better than wifi to the controller.
