On the forum my distance traveled is 102559 and on the app / phone is 247,549 FT . Why the difference

The forum number is only the distance of the flights you have uploaded to DJI.  Your device has all the flights - including lots you haven't uploaded.

So, adding to Lab's advice, you need to sync all your devices running DJI GO with their cloud (I fly different craft using either my phone or a tablet, for example). Then log-out of the forum and back in again.

I clicked the sync to cloud , logged out of the forum . Logged back in . No change .. hmmmm

That doesn't mean the two events are immediately linked, they are most likely on different servers, may not get updated until after-hours.
